I never implied that programming is easy. I actually do appreciate all the hard work people put into optimizing these emulators for the original Xbox. Now that you've mentioned it, I've never used a PC version N64 emulator. Are the sources closed?

There aren't any major break throughs, we haven't added any new video plugins or emulator cores in this release.
But you can compare Banjo Tooie and Zelda OoT in B5.5 and B5.4, and you'll see some differences there. Try the Mupen64Plus RSP plugin with RSP audio on, using 1964, JttL, and Rice 5.60. Try whatever for previous releases.

@iamturok It's best not to use Basic Audio unless you really need it for speed, then it's best to back it up with the LLE RSP plugin, or the Mupen64Plus HLE RSP plugin with RSP audio on.
