Hi.

I talked to gilles9999 about this, but I might as well post it here. He mentioned an auto aspect ratio mode support in Coinops Reignite. However, this option doesn't seem to work on all games. In some, there are distorted pixel patterns in the background (I've compared screens).

Aliens is one of those games. And when you adjust the screensize, you can't even see the game, just a black screen. There are no digits to enter either – i.e. there's nothing to go by. All you basically have is an feature called Widescreen Aspect Ratio Correction, and no matter what you choose there, you still end up with some background distortions. Unless you enable Anti-Aliasing. But that makes the image blurry.

I have a 4:3 TV, btw.

These are my settings right now:

Widescreen Aspect Ratio Correction: Rotated
720p Hi Def Support: Disabled
Anti-Aliasing: Enabled
Soften Display: Disabled
Flicker Filter: Level 0
Frameskip: Automatic

Are these the correct settings for a perfect pixel aspect ratio?

Is Coinops Inferno a better alternative, since it has options like Pixel Perfect x1, Pixel Perfect x2 and Pixel Perfect x3?

I didn't even know this version existed until now.

'Inferno' is the latest with lots of fixes. (games like mortal kombat, killer instinct work now, thanx to some new cores)

I used the ' pixel perfect' settings, and for me it works briljant, well most of the time (using x2 myself, it loses screen in some games, but smooth (60hz pal) non screan-tearing.

The games where it loses screen... Maybe they have 384 pixels in original width? x2 it's 768.

Hopefully Inferno will be flicker free on my non-component TV. Here's to chance.
