WWF Smackdown! (bin/cue) has a slowdown issue when playing with more than 2 players (Royal Rumble, fatal four way, etc.).  The strange issue is if Frame skip is turned "Off" the gameplay runs normally with more than 2 players, but the audio is stuttery.

Metal Gear Solid has a strange audio issue.......keeps repeating every two words.  Intro has a bit of slowdown.  Gameplay is great though.

This is using PCSX v21

Use the fix for metal gear. Bring up the config menu by pressing X to load the game. The fix is in "Set SPU fixes" its called "Wait CPU Action". Turn that on.

I have metal gear running off core 1.5 gpu 1.16 spu 1.9.. all seems to run alright, but there could be better settings. As for smackdown I have had no issues like that with smackdown 2, but I haven't played it in a while. And it is pretty similar to number 1, infact I think number 2 is better..

Good luck with it

Turning "Wait CPU Action" to "On".....solves the repeating word issue, but makes the audio veeeeeerrrry sloowwwww....hehe  tongue.gif

I'll try to see what can be done with these games through this emu wink.gif

Nevermind cheema201...turns out there were some other default settings I had to change to fix the audio as well.  I found better settings for Metal Gear Solid (audio fix and intro fix)...gameplay is great: smile.gif

Metal Gear Solid (iso):
BIOS Mode: BIOS File
Core Version: 1.5
GPU Plugin Version: 1.16
SPU Plugin Version: 1.9
Set Graphic Fixes: Turn everything "Off"; except for Framelimit......leave Framelimit "ON",  Bit Depth=16
Set CPU Fixes: Everything should be "Off"

Set SPU Fixes:
-XA Sound= "On"
-XA Speed Fix= "On"..........this fixes the intro
-Reverb= "Simple"
-Interpolation = Gaussian/Good
-Wait CPU Action= "On"
-IRQ in Decoded Sound Buf= "Off"
-Sound Timer Method= "Original"........helps out the Wait CPU Action as "Threaded" makes audio too slow

Throttle Method= "Original"

Just noticed that the audio still stutters during some heavy scenes......but not too bad sleep.gif

Yeh my set up for metal gear is pretty much the same as that. I do enjoy playing around with the CPU fixes, sometimes you'd be surprised at the results. Also lazy screen updates, I always try games with that. Usually messes up blur effect in games, but adds speed where it counts (only for some games). But stuff like the parasite eve fix and stuff like that can work well for other games too.

We really need to release a saves pack for pcsxbox, with all the configuration for all known working games is done. (there may already be something out there like this), of course people will still want to change some settings, as I believe speed is the most important thing, but I sometimes stuff up some visuals in the process. Depends what you believe is the lesser of two evils.

Anyways, good to hear you got the game running a bit better

Though you'll still need v20 to finish the game. v21 will crash after the battle with Ocelot.

Whoever said that Harvest Moon: Back to Nature was working needs to be falcon punched in the head. I've tried almost everything and can't get it to work at all. Just a black screen.

Correction there-All versions of Pcsxbox that have ever played Metal Gear Solid have all crashed at the Ocelot Ninja ect scenes. Once in a blue moon will it ever skip them I dont know if its a timing method or what but it only works 1% out of the time, Ive tried all Pcsxbox versions from V11 to V21 they all are exactly the same period none of them function properly when it comes to the scenes that are not in AVI WMV OR w/e other format those vids are in on the game. No one has found a way to skip the scenes or fix them at this point but MGS still to this day wont play right on the Original Xbox using any of the Pcsxbox version
