I want to second mj9977's problems with Shadows of the Empire.  I just upgraded from SurrealxxxB5 to Surreal64xxx CE B5.4 and where I was previously able to play Shadows with B5 that had Rice 6.11, now with Rice 6.12 as the only option in CE B5.4, I can't even enjoy it because of this problem that we know from reading a previous Compatability List

"Anything but Rice 6.11 displays majorly corrupt sky and snow textures, and that's just the first level."

This is exactly the problem I'm having, and I'm seriously thinking of going back to B5.  Can this be fixed?  Is there a way to have either 6.11 or 6.12 to choose from?

Is there a way to get this to run ROMS from a disk?
I have the emulator installed onto the HDD, and I burned and XISO with a ROMS folder in it, and all the ROMS/Games are in there.
I edited the surreal.ini file to Rom Path=D:\ROMS

Made sure I deleted the ini folder, and every time I launch Surreal64 XXX CE B5.4, I get a "No ROMS present" error message. "Edit surreal.ini and refresh with Y"
Which I did, but nothing comes up.
I have to do the soft reset with the controller (Holding ABXY, Start, Back, R/L Triggers) because the message just stays up there and I can't visually bring up the menu with the right stick click. It comes up, but it visually isn't on the screen because of the error message. I can hear the tone when you scroll up and down.
If I press A I get the launch menu, but there is no game to launch.
That's all besides the point, but just thought I'd let you know..

I just want to get Surreal 64 to run ROMS off a disk.

When you editied your ini and set the rom directory to "d:\roms" you have effectively done nothing.
Th "D:" directory is the emulators home directory. eg- E:\Games\Surreal\ = D:\.
I can't remember which letter should be assigned to the DVD drive as its been a long time since i used discs for emulators. Even then (from memory) iv'e seen different letter assignments from different software.
Not much help i know, im sorry, but at least thats one puzzle solved for you.

edit your ini file to say this..
A:\Roms

also make sure your roms are converted into a xiso, use qwix 101 or whatever and then burn.

Awesome. Thanks. I'll try it out later..
I now have a new problem though. This is on a separate Xbox; my own. The roms won't load. I have them on the HDD. It's a 320GB HDD. The rom list comes up, but 90% of the roms show up as "unknown" when I load up Surreal64_XXX_CE_B5.4. After a couple seconds, it just freezes.
I'm going to try an earlier version of Surreal64xxx

Whenever you add or delete roms, even a new install, you must hit the "Y" button to refresh your directory whilst in the rombrowser screen. This checks your roms directory and updates accordingly.

sry just kinda jumping in on the thread but i was wondering if the compatibility list will be updated with any addition working games and/or should we start testing games that didnt work or worked poorly on previous builds to help update the list?
