Hi

Me too ... it freeze in first stage sad.gif

It is bad because on PC with 1964 1.1 it works very very fine !

I think we can't fix it without an update in 1.1 for 1964 !

Thats good to know I've never started it up on a PC.
However I think I'm making small amounts of progress....
One thing I noticed and maybe some people can verify with debug mode on, I've yet to see it freeze when its above 10mb, its always below

i have a feature request. seems small to me but might be bigger if so nm.

i request that when you "exit to romlist" from a game it doenst bring you back to the top of the game list. rather to what ever game you just exited from. in other words when you exit a game back to rom list the rom you were just playing is highlighted. and you dont have to scroll back down to that game to continue browsing from there.

this would be especially handy for finding best settings for games. when your resetting a lot.

I like also the option!
But what was my wish all the time since Nintendo 64 Emulation begun, was alway a Music Control Interface, so that you can play your own music while playing like in the Xport Emulators! Can that be possible to make?
It would be very helpfull also, because many Roms on Surreal have this Stuttersound!

Good idea - while we're discussing minor features: I'd like to be able to skip to roms starting with different letters by pressing left/right (like on xport emulators).

While every body post request, i will do same lol

1 - Not be on the top of the list when we quit a game (already asked by others)
2 - Add the video XMV preview in the menu, near the boxart ... it will be great biggrin.gif  (already asked by others)
3 - Add a background for the option screen, because it use rom screen and it is not really beautifull.
4 - Add a line to read the COMENTS of the roms ... like that we can know before launch a game if it will be crash or not lol
And we can write too some tips for help emulation tongue.gif
5 - Add the screenshot near the SAVASTATE to see if there is a save and where is it ?  (already asked by others)
6 - Xrite the title of the INI file and not the ROM (already asked by others)
7 - Can browse the games with a skip letter, more faster to use biggrin.gif  (already asked by others)

I know many of theses options are in MADMAB XPORT emus ...
But without use all the xport one, almost made these 7 stuff tongue.gif

And finaly the hardest but very ilportant lol

8 - Update 1964 code to v1.1 for best emulation wink.gif

For my part my work is in a good way ... some news games are working now biggrin.gif
I will up a release in a little time now ...

You mean total video memory above 10 mb?

And yes, I'm using (U) but no idea if [!].

I request someone with a V1.6 softmodded xbox testing this out.

I still can't get mine running. 5.1 worked perfectly. 5.3 boots to a scrambled screen.

I'm softmodded with Ndure. I've tested more configurations and combinations through both XBMC and Evox as well as Unleash than I care to count and nothing works.

I can start a game and back out to the menu and it will look fine, so as far I can tell it's not actually a video setting problem.

When the emulator starts up, my TV settings show that it is running a 480p NTSC 60hz source.

Any help in getting this working right would be greatly appreciated.

Im not referring to the emulator settings menu
I'm referring to if you start a game launch the in game menu and turn the debug info on
Then some stats appear in the upper left hand corner
mb free
FPS

I found that it  freezes when you are under 10mb and typically when the FPS bottom out at 19 or 20FPS

Hm, so maybe it could help to free more memory with lower dynarec, paging, or total video memory, so that the box and the emu has enough memory and it won't under 10 mb free memory?

Freakdave has been very busy porting 1964 1.1 to xbox. The xxx interface will be abandoned, everything will go off of the original Surreal 64 GUI.

Most of those features mentioned will definitely go on the To Do list for A1.0, but as freakdave said, many things will be low priority. Getting everything to work is on the higher ups. smile.gif

As for 128mb issues and apparent 1.6 softmod issues, these will undoubtedly be fixed. I've been working on a way to implement both rom paging methods (Original for 64MB boxes and XXXB5 for 128MB boxes,)  but I have been very busy these last couple of weeks and wont be able to touch it for another week.
The HDTV code will have to be looked at and either modified or removed to return support. I think most would agree that 5.1 worked just dandy in that regard.

I'm no developer, just a guy with some free time and a spec of knowledge with C. I'll commit what I have done to SF.net if anyone would want to fix everything up so this fix comes out sooner.

Glad to see that work continues on this.  I just know that N64 should run next to flawless on this if given the TLC it deserves.

I have been working really hard this week in making a compatibility list for Surreal64 5.31 CE.   blink.gif I need help from those who have 5.31 CE....as finding better settings can be overwhelming.

These are the games I need help on:

Air Fighter's Assault
Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage
Armorines: Project S.W.A.R.M
Cyber Tiger Woods Golf
Diakatana
Jet Force Gemini
Lego Racers
Neon Genesis Evangelion (J)
Penny Racers
Pokemon Snap
Rakuga Kida (E)
Rat Attack
Re-Volt
Madden NFL 99, 2000, 2001, and 2002
Magical Tetris Challenge
Polaris SnoCross
Powerpuff Girls: Chemical X-traction
Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue
San Francisco Rush: 2049
S.C.A.R.S
Shadowgate 64: Trials of the Four Towers
Snowboard Kids 2
Supercross 2000
Taz Express

Just post them on this subject.   dry.gif I will check them once the settings of these games are posted....and if successful in obtaining the best settings......in return....... I will credit you (by your user name) for your contributions in the comment box of your particular game settings on the compatibility list once I release the Surreal64 B5.31 CE compatibility list to the public.  smile.gif

laugh.gif Tip: Try missing around with Skip Frames option in the Video Settings menu (as well as the audio, dynarec, and paging mb).  For example, Duke Nukem 64 stops glitching on PJ64 if Skip Frames is on "Yes."  Mario Golf has a more steady mb and FPS with Skip Frames on "Yes".  Some games, like WWF NO MERCY and WWF WRESTLEMANIA 2000, will become more glitchier if Skip Frames is on "Yes,"  which in this case turn it to "No."
