Yep, i've noticed that one, too. Will release a fixed version asap.
Have you checked your dashboard settings (50Hz/60Hz/Pal60/Multiregion/whatever)?

EDIT:

I've fixed the audio plugin bug, B5.31 is ready to go...

I'll check it, but 5.1 worked perfect for me before even with the Monkeysurreal.ini. This is the first emulator I've ever had this kind of issue with :-/

Brilliant work freakdave and weinerschnitzel - Mario Kart 64 and Super Mario 64 are so much easier to control with the updated controller sensitivity control.

I noticed that Conker's Bad Fur Day works pertty well too on default settings, though I haven't tried it for a while on older versions. The audio is a little stuttered sometimes, butI know there is an xbox version, but it's just not as funny with all the colourful language bleeped out!

Are there any plans for screen-scaling or v-sync - or are these too resource-intensive?

I tried v-sync for the rice plugins and the games were literally crawling. As for screen scaling, this is something that i'm planning to add in A1.0

My evox dash is set to auto for the game region. My XBMC is set to auto as well. If I check info it shows that I am NTSC 720p 16:9. When I launch 5.3 I get a scrambled screen. I can start a game and everything displays great....if I exit back to the romlist, everything looks great....it's just scrambled when I launch it....

B5.3 does not support 720p. The Launcher and the emulators will start in 480p if they detect the HD AV pack. Try to set your dashboard to 480p and test it again. The scrambled screen should be gone (well, i hope so).

No go man. I don't know what's going on here. I set evox and xbmc both to 480 and it still boots into a scrambled screen.
It really confuses me because the games launch fine and when I exit the game the menu is all better.

Here's something

It launches fine from Evox in 480p

Launches to scrambled screen in 480p from XBMC...

Hmm, that's really weird. I've tested it with both UnleashX and XBMC (set to 720p) and it launches without any problems into 480p. I'll do some more tests later...

Thanks for whatever you find man. I'm lost. It's switching to 480p for sure, I can see that in my TV's settings. While in xbmc my tv shows 720p, when I boot the emulator it shows 480p.

I looked through everything and I can't see anything different from 5.1 so I guess it's something in the xbe.

Everything looks great once I back out of a game and it's running right though =)

Could this have anything to do with the V1.6 xbox?

Just wanted to let you guys know I've got the same problem as well. I also have a v1.6 xbox and HDAV pack with 480p and 720p turned on. Hope it works out sooner or later. Thanks for the hard work freakdave!

This is awesome, but the only game I really care about for 64 is GoldenEye. Any progress in emulating this one properly? Anyone tried it?

PS - If I knew what I was doing, I would write an emu designed just for GoldenEye.  biggrin.gif  That game is the shiz.

It seems like I was playing that for a while and the gameplay was perfect.  The menus were the only thing that I had a problem with.  Unfortunately I don't remember which plugin I was using for it.

I decided to turn my xbox on.  Was happy to see it still works after collecting dust for the last 3 years.  I was able to run goldeneye only while using UltraHLE.  Of course I am a little outdated, I am running Surreal 64 XXX B5.

Very happy to see progress on Surreal64. I'll be sure to get the update later today. Any improvements with Donkey Kong 64 or Paper Mario?

I hoped that the N64 Rom WWF No Mercy U V1.1 now works with the saves, but it don“t!
Could it have to do something with the Xbox RAM?

Download it from Xbins. There are plenty of tutorials around here showing how to get on xbins.
