That's really interesting that the games actually load. I wonder if they work in the PC version of Gens with/without controls. Would be great if these could be made to work; one more system to add to Xbox's already impressive repertoire.

Kega Fusion can load these roms as well but the same problem exists. Nobody ever got the system's drawing pad emulated. It would be nice to play some of these games as I had a pico but only one game.

I wonder if Madmab could do his magic with this. *Hint Hint :-)

I would say it would only be possible if the code already existed in the PC version of the emu or if it was somehow sufficiently similar to the Genesis control system. If it's an entirely unemulated control system then it's not going to happen.

Well, I have searched a bit, and it seems that there are Sega Genesis emulators for PC that indeed support Sega Pico roms. I suppose that these are good news  smile.gif

In any case... let's speak about this topic once you have finished your work in the Xtras emulator. That project is more important!!  wink.gif

In the meanwhile, I will try to study these emulators and see if the Sega Pico controller code is clear and it seems easy to identify. Maybe this can help in a future port.

Thank you for all your work, Madmab!!

Which emulators? Are they open source?

Picodrive seems by far the best bet. The PSP version is coded in C while other versions seem to use ARM asm. Interestingly some parts of the emulator are based on Gens the same emu that Neogenesis is ported from.

Any chance you might take a look at this in the future madmab?
