Consider this chaps, a new Mame version, Xbox capable roms only, obviously.
Wouldn't that lay to rest "ANY" Xbox versions out there coded by anyone ?
Supported by ResXtras Video's, Screenshot's, Title shot's and Flyer's.
Not to mention a whole host of different skin's in various definition's.
Let's be honest, this isn't far fetched at all !

this would be a wonderful idea!

we could all work together here on xs to make a mame emu and maybe others that still need continued work, ie. n64.

nes, xtras, cbagy, and there's plenty testers

I have one question regarding Ms. PacMan.

I'm trying to enable the speedup cheat on the bootleg ROM. The proper ROM doesn't boot properly for whatever reason. In the general menu, I try to enable DIP switches by changing the selection to true. Unfortunately, the change never saves. I also tried enabling the cheat directly in the cheat menu.

Please let me know if anyone knows a way to resolve this issue.

Thank you

I don't really have an opinion about all this but I think it should be noted that before any of nes6502's code was 'misused' he already stated that 1.1 would be the last release of FBL and that FBL would most likely be his final contribution to the Xbox scene.

wow, thats a strong response there Xyteam, aka "fumanchu" (1emu), one of many aliases.
You feeling a little guilty by any chance?
Funny how you posted your "sorry" post over at 1emu to try and "save face".
Hope you and BP are happy with yourselves if this pans out
with nes not doing anymore work on Xbox.

Anyone with some form of decency would'nt have even thought of
using nes' 5 week old code... So fuck you, snake.
It may not be going in the R4 release, but look whats happened...

Peace guys. No need to blame the person who had the wise idea to release a new Coinops without NES6502 stolen code. Stop the controversy and understand this has been provocation from the start. I hope in some weeks people willl forget about all of this. I think the best way is  to support FBL and with time its author will want to improve it. After all, there's nothing he has to take care of. He is the man with the knowledge which does not seem to be the case of his supposed rival. The rest is only narcissism melted with envy and frustration.

You are correct, i digress quite a lot.
Im not getting into any more of this as i've said my piece.
And as things have turned out i was right all along anyway.
You are a bloke with loads of emulation knowledge so im
sure you have better things to be typing than this shit.
Im sure you've investigated FBL inside and out,
do you have any tips users could make use of ?
ie - Filters, VMM settings etc.

Had you read my post correctly, you would have seen I underlined "thought".
You said you "got carried away in the moment", so you knew what was going on
and went ahead anyway...only to pathetically apologise when things went belly up
on the forums, then say you won't release it with the FBL patch.
Thats fine, but look at what happened for fucks sake....will nes want to continue coding
on the Xbox?
As usual your bullshit rambles on, you're the one that was helping BP remember, not me!

Get back in the snake pit.

i never uploaded the final burn patch, read my original post over at 1emu again.the got carried at the moment is nothing to do with final burn it was to get the coinops reignite emu out there but it was not until i got the patch that i held back.so i see that you never read my post correctly either.

and you said i knew what was going on...BULLSHIT.you dont know fuck all you just assume as usual in your own little sad way.

and this

take a look at some of the bullshit ramblings you have done on here and 1emu over the past few months and surprise yourself.

@ xyteam (aka fumanchu):
All I have to say to all that bullshit is:
You're the one that was/is working with bp, not me,
You're the one that said over at 1emu, "the FB added games are going well through coinops"
or something along those lines, read it yourself (if it hasn't been "cleaned" already)

Go figure.

@nes:

Is there a way to enable rotary dial controls for Player 2 in Forgotten Worlds?

No, not without releasing another version of FBL. Forgotten Worlds does not have DIP switches. Any game that does not have DIP switches (or if a user disables DIP switches) writes the D:\config ini file each time the game starts. That was a safety precaution in case the file got corrupted. This file is where the controls are.

If this was not the case, a user could edit this config file and put the correct line for "P2 Turn". I think it should be:

change

input "P2 Turn" joyaxis 0 2

to

input "P2 Turn" slider 0x3f 0x31 speed 0xe00 center 10

If you can find another game that uses analog controls for player two you could check that ini file to see what the correct line for analog control is. I know this fix will work for FBL 1.0 but I am not sure the above line is correct. I don't have the source code to look at it.

However, this won't do any good in FBL 1.1 since this config gets erased every time the game starts (since it doesn't have DIP switches). I was going to fix this in FBL 1.1 but I forgot.

You could add the change to the config file in FBL 1.0.
