The post was about arcade emulators running those game full speed. Full speed means this:
No frame skipping required
No lost frames the entire time
Graphics, sound, and input emulated.
It was not about what games are playable. It was not about games that kinda run ok or games that run well enough that most people like it. It was about games that emulate full speed. It was about arcade emulation not console ports or official Xbox game emulation-simulations (like MK1 - 3)
It also didn't imply sound would need to be disabled. If that was the criteria then I could add support for any game anyone wants and say it runs full speed. I'll just say the graphics, sound, and controllers are disabled, but, it runs full speed (just check out that FPS counter!)
I understand exactly what you define full speed as, nes6502. Please don't lower the standard you've set for FBL. Please don't go that route. The sound runs in all games that have sound emulation (Dogyuun's sound files aren't decrypted by Mame yet) which means 99.9% of the games have run with full sound and there is no stuttering or skipping in the audio like in other apps. There is barely any reliance on frameskip or lost frames to keep games running at all.
Nearly all of the games in FBL run at the criteria you defined here. We don't want to see it turned it into an inconsistent mess. It's the FBL standard or no standard for some of us. How well the games run should be the top priority overall. Some people have a high standard for this, and some don't. Please keep your high standard nes. It's a huge part of what makes FBL so great.
Many thanks again for the marvelous emulator you developed.
