Vamp was never popular.  He got his moderator status by violently murdering and then brutally sodomising all the existing mods at the time.  wink.gif

Right from the very beginning (way before the discovery of the flicker filter) I had toyed about trying to get correct aspect ratios with point filtering on every emu. I found in the end it was a waste of my time as it makes the games look artificial and too pixelated (one of the major benefits of console emulation is it's realistic/authentic approach to retrogaming) so you might as well play emus on a PC or HDTV if you want pixel perfect graphics.  wink.gif  The Xbox runs these emulators in a much higher resolution than the consoles it emulates and therefore doesn't have the appropriate scanlines, so it makes the point filtered image appear too "pixelated", at least to my eyes.

Who said there is anything wrong with a little bit of blur anyway? (again, I like the look of CRT) To me, it makes the picture feel a lot more solid. Go back to a SNES with RGB hooked up to a standard 4:3 CRT and you will see that it resembles the picture that Likklebaer posted on the first page, not the crystal clear display of perfect aspect ratio and point filtering.
