Authorization to edit the list has now been added spbaabck. You should now be able to edit and add your own settings.

Also try to remember to make each listing as informative as possible, whilst keeping it as short and concise as possible. So include any setting other than the default for that game and explain breifly why that setting is better and for what reason. For example:

NASCAR 2000
ROM Info: (U)  [!]
Emu: 1964
Vid Plugin: 5.31
Audio: Basic
Video: 4MB
Dynarec: 8MB
Paging: 4MB
Plays well. Use Basic Audio to improve speed, slow otherwise. Use 5.31 to render the scenery correctly

Looking forward to your posts  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Hey guys,

Just another quick small update today. I've been pretty busy so haven't had much time to work on this but it's getting there  biggrin.gif Also now that we've got spbaabck on board we should see it completed in no time!

Most of the games up to and including 'P' are now done. I've had some good success at finding settings that make games work too, Rice 6.11 has even made it to the recommended settings for quite a few games now  smile.gif

Click here to see the Surrreal 64 B5.1 CE Compatibility and Performance Settings List

One thing I have found is that if games wont run at all, basic audio will often make them run  biggrin.gif  Also Rice 5.61 usually doesn't render things like fog, smoke and 'horizon shading', so if you notice in a game that objects in the distance are 'popping up', and not fading in smoothly like they should be then try using Rice 5.31 or 5.11 or even Rice 6.11 to remedy that.

If anyone has any settings that they'd like to add, please feel free to post them up here and I will add them to the list, with your name as credit for the listing  smile.gif

Hey guys, just a quick update today.

It was brought t my attention by Xmodder delux that I had incorrectly listed the Rice 5.60 plugin as Rice 5.61, this has now been corrected.

He also brought to my attention a glitch in Bomberman 64, where sometimes the menu background doesn't render, and then neither does the game.

I've figured out that you can get the game to render these things correctly if you wait to press start until one of the short intro clips is playing (like the train tracks one, or the ice one) If you do this then the menu should load with the background visible and the game should run correctly. It's a bit annoying but it does work if you want to play this game.

Thanks again to Xmodder Delux for bringing this problem to my attention, I must have pressed start at the right time while i was testing the game and thought that my settings had fixed it  tongue.gif

Also just updated the settings for Carmageddon 64, found that Basic Audio with Rice 5.10 improves the playing speed significantly, to an enjoyable speed.

Thank weinerschnitzel, does that mean that even if you can start the game with Bomberman 64, once you make it to the first boss it doesn't render so is therefore unplayable after this point?

Another thing about Bomberman 64 is that after you play one battle mode level, the next level will not render either even if it is the same level.  This means that you would have to reset the rom to play another level in multiplayer.  So all in all this game is pretty much unplayable unless you like resetting the game after each round.

Not sure if anyone has noticed but at the bottom of your spreadsheet is reads PSX compatibility, PAL, and Japanese.  Not a big deal but just letting you know Monkey if you want to fix it or not.

Thanks to everyone for their comments, suggestions and support with this project!

I've fixed a few things on the list, it now reads Surreal Performance/Settings rather than PSX compatibility. The reason for this was that I used an old PSX compatibility list as a template for this list and forgot to clean it up completely.

Bomberman 64 has also been downgraded to Barely Playable (Yellow), unfortunately  sad.gif

Also, if anyone wants to help with this project I still need someone to help me finish the list, and will also need someone to start entering the settings into the surreal.ini for release. Anyone ??  love.gif

Tomorrow I start again with working on this project after finishing my University exams, so you should see some decent updates over the next few days, and hopefully we might even see the list completed by the weekend!!

Been keeping one eye on this one chaps. Your right to update it. I miss this emulator really as its such a pain to use without reasonable configs. Good luck to you all and hope you will share your results with the rest of us users.

I have a couple of entries for the spreadsheet:

WWF: No Mercy
Bright Green (Runs well with default settings)

Winnie The Pooh: Tigger's Honey Hunt
Bright Green (Runs well with default settings)

Wheel of Fortune
Bright Green (Runs well)
Emu: 1964 or PJ64 (PJ64 seems to be make the game run slightly slower but renders the title screen better)
Vid Plugin: 5.10 (This renders the letters)

Superman
Green (Playable with some audio skipping and minor visual glitches)
Emu: UltraHLE

That is all I have for now.

Thanks for the support cbagy. It's starting to come together now with lots of games being upgraded to playable from being either slow or glitchy due to incorrect settings. I will definitely be putting together a surreal.ini once this list has been completed, which should hopefully be in around a week or so. So maybe expect a surreal.ini in about 2-3 weeks?

Maybe even sooner if we keep getting help  biggrin.gif

Have done a pretty decent update for today, went through and filled in pretty much all the games that I had missed up to M. Including The Legend of Zelda, The Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask!  smile.gif
