These skins are just perfect!  Attractive, practical, but most of all they evoke the feeling of each system, and bring me out in floods of nostalgia!!

Thanks so much - I hope you get time to do more... a C64 one would be great!

I like them very much, very nature skins (hardware side, it's like well done and sobre vintage commercial )

Well there's no creativity here. I'm just taking Hyperspin graphics and throwing them together in a way that looks good on the Xbox.  biggrin.gif

These definintely look sweet Likklebaer.

I just had a few questions...

1.  Are you using all the extra capabilities of the Dynamic Skins?

Meaning.... Are you creating the background images, the sprites, the boxes, the banners, whatever you're adding with the thought in mind that people could edit them and and manipulate the screen how they'd choose?  For example... Gilles created anywhere between 12 and 15 configurations for his skins that display the Videos, Artwork, and Romlist in different ways and sizes.  On top of that, I added three skins (~FULL TILT, ~FULL TILT DX, and Full Screen).  Two of those configs do a good job of taking up the maximum amount of screen for video and pic previews and the third one displays just the video for the game with only the title of the current game showing over it.

2.  Are you planning on doing a skin for every XPORT supported emu.

I love having new skins on the box, but I don't think I'd use skins that weren't all-encompassing.  I hope you do it in the future.  I know how much work it's going to be.  I've been co-ordinating skins and emus with Gilles and Madmab for at least 6 months now.

If you get to the point that you're making skins for all the emus, I'd be happy to test them out like I did with Gilles' stuff and let you know what's still needed.

I personally like having Gilles' PM3 stuff on my rig to match the PM3 XBMC skin, but I can definitely see the appeal to these and hope you make one for all the emus available.

Later,
~Rx

Love the skin, but when I choose 720p it gets fuzzy so I have to cancel.  I also don't get previews, how do I go about that. Thanks.

I haven't got a clue how or if these work in HD. They've been made just for my setup. Of course if someone wants to buy me a shiny new HDTV then of course I'll adapt them.  biggrin.gif

These aren't dynamic skins at all they're just the good ol' fashioned kind since I don't really use any of the 'dynamic' features myself. Just a nice looking game list and a screenshot's good enough for me.  happy.gif

And yes, I'm doing one for every Xport emulator and some non-Xport ones too. I'll also be doing some extra ones since I use separate xbes for some systems like GBC/GBA, 32X/Mega Drive/Mega-CD, PC-Engine/PC-Engine CD, Amiga/CD32, and others. I'm hoping to spend time over the weekend getting some more done.

Usually, I think most skins look awful and overdone, which is why I primarily use Madmab's skins, since they have the more sophisticated XBMC appearance.

What you've created finds that balance that Madmab's did, great work!!! Maybe someday someone will enhance them for you and make them dynamic. smile.gif

Well other than the fact that these don't support dual previews at all, I like them.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Would have been nice to have pre dual preview when I really wanted something like this where I was more interested in having the long list and a large snappy.

Really, though it all boils down to choice.  Sometimes I'm not interested in box-art, other times I am.. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

I think those skins are the PMIII ones and were built by Gilou. Madmab codes the changes to the emulator. Or thats the way i see it.
