Help Burning Emulators & Roms To Dvd?
« on: May 20, 2009, 10:01:00 PM »

I got the BAED series, and have been trying to put together my own emulator compilation discs. I've ran into two problems. I've been trying to do this with the CPS3 emulator, and Surreal64.

The first problem I ran into was playing the discs on my softmodded xbox. I have a chipped xbox which I converted into a slimbox - still a WIP so I can still "easily" have access to the disc drive, it's a pain the ass to keep connecting it though - and the softmodded Halo edition. Both run XBMC, not sure if that matters, but the softmod doesn't seem to want to boot the discs for whatever reason. Just says the drive is busy and then when I click it it says invalid or unknown path. Slimbox works without problems. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Another problem is that with Surreal64, the roms don't boot. I read through about 20 pages of that Surreal help thread, and did absolutley everything I could think of that I saw as a possible solution, but I still got nothing. I posted in that thread as well, but I didn't get any replies, so I figured while I'm here I might as well throw that issue out there too. Whenever I click them, I get a black screen and nothing loads. Deleted my TDATA and UDATA files, nothing.. tried with Surreal 1.0, nothing... changed the rom path in the .ini about 3 different times, still nothing... Have no clue why these won't boot. Tried it with multiple roms and I still have the same issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I might just end up picking up some discs on ioffer.com instead of dealing with it, but I guess I'm more of a DIY type of guy. Thanks guys!

what i can tell you is your chipped xbox probably has a samsung drive, your best bet is to try different media/brands of dvdr for your softmodded xbox.as most xbox drives can be picky.
