To be honest, I don't think that the controller sensitivity actually works with surreal.  It would be great if this feature could be fixed so that games like super smash bros and virtual pool could work properly.

I agree, I remember spending ages playing with these and they don't seem to make any difference. Mario Kart 64 would be more playable if the sensitivity could be tweaked down a little.

What's wrong with Super Smash Brothers? Seems ok to me but I haven't really played it that much  smile.gif

Has anyone here tried using the sensitivity settings with any of the FDB versions of surreal? I Believe the last one was V4. I'm not sure what version of surreal this B5.1 CE release is based on, but I suspect that it does not include the code for the sensitivity settings.

Anyone else know any more about this? It would be great to have this in the next release!

Also, if it does actually work with FDB's version of surreal, then the code has been written for it already (sort of), and it shouldn't be too hard to incorporate this code into the B5.1CE source code, one would think?

The joystick sensitivity for super smash bros is way up there.  If you want to walk, you have to press the joystick only a little bit otherwise you end up running.  Maybe this was in another version of surreal, but I assumed it was like this in the current version.  I may be wrong though.

Not that is going to matter much with the original Surreal 1.0 menu making a return, the skin selection menu does not work. (using svn B5.2 r49)

We're all still excited when you two find the time to finish this last real update for surreal. In my opinion this counts as a Surreal64 2.0.

Great work this new version of the emulator is brilliant. All of my n64 roms run way better off a dvd drive than with previous version of this emulator. Donkey Komg 64 runs fine only it runs pretty slow like in slow motion. Could you address this problem for future versions of this wonderful emulator.

is there an auto video plugin launcher patch for this like there was for b5?

im talking about the Surreal64.XXX.B5.CMD.Patch's found in the usual place.

it looks to your surreal.ini for a preferred video plugin and ran it automatically.

be nice after i got the updated ini smile.gif

Hey  Monkeys69 and friends. Firstly thank you very much for the work you have done for the surreal.ini and the compatibility lists. Anyways I have downloaded the surrela.ini v2 file and  so far so good Im still testing the games with this file. I have come across a problem where Killer Instinct Gold (u) (v1.0) [!], Killer Instinct Gold (u) (v1.1) [!] and Killer Instinct Gold (u) (v1.2) [!] does not seem to start up. Is this because of the surreal.ini v2 file? or simpy because this game is not supported by the Surreal64XXXB5.1CE emulator? Anyways could you suggest any additional settings that I can use to get this game starting up and running. Much appreciated.

Hi monster59,

according to the compatibility chart put together by monkeys69 and friends:

Killer Instinct Gold    1964   Audio = LLE RSP   Loads with LLE RSP but has menu glitches and background graphical glitches which make it barely playable - Thanks to xpfrags

looks like the game isn't supported. if you wanna check which games will run ok look at this chart (also from monkeys 69 and co.):

http://spreadsheets....h...AyS0E&hl=en

also this post should really be in a different thread:

http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=695621

Not every game is supported some run great, some run cack and some will not run at all! the whole point of the ini file is it will save you tinkering around with the settings, but unfortunately if it don't work it probably never will. Surreal needs some work on it by some clever peeps in order to make it support more games. I wish it would happen so do a lot of others. Maybe if we all pray simultaneously god will answer our pleas?

have fun smile.gif

Just about did. Freakdave has more important things to do than to develop a new interface for Surreal at the moment and Ez0n3 hasn't been around to report anything he has done with the 1964 1.1 source or rice plugins for that matter.
Bummer, I know...

I'm hoping that it's being worked on in the background! I'd love to see another update to surreal.

Hi,
I play Mario Kart on a common 4:3 CRT TV (PAL) and IMHO there are some pixels missing on each side.
Is there a way to calibrate the screen?
However beside this, Surreal64 is perfect!!! cool.gif

Cheers

Never mind, it's still being worked on, even though at a slow pace. You just have to be patient smile.gif

Excellent news Dave!
I know everyone would love to see some updates on this.

What happened to the guys that were working on the [CE] versions...?
Patience is what will do.

Best of luck and best wishes. smile.gif
