Hey schibo and Ez0n3, I got to thinking about the new source code and everything.  Would you be able to incorporate the controller adaptoid plugin with the build you are currently working on?  Then we could be able to use the real N64 controllers on our boxes.  That would be the bomb!

It does run pretty smooth but "Iam trying to get multiplayer" working
it works, it runs smooth but after a0 few kills it will freeze and the music will loop.
Trust me I've googled the subject for the last year im not trying to play through the game atleast not until multiplayer is working.

Curious enough Surreal 64 B5.1 Ce is the only version I've played that most of the time even though it freezes I'm able to reset the console ( by hitting all the buttons) whereas every other surreal emu would completely freeze and Id have to get up So maybe we're getting closer

To anyone who doubts me try it yourself
pick 2 players multiplayer rockets and I guarantee you can't play 3 games without it freezing
If we play a game without freezing we feel lucky.

So I doubt we'd be able to play goldeneye online if we can't play in our living rooms first

This is so exciting. Freakdave you broke my heart when you said you weren't going to be making anymore updates. Shouldn't any of this make the news page? I think the developers could use the publicity and motivation. Some headline like: Surreal64XXXB5.1 Community Edition Released B5.2 and B6.0 underway with new 1964 source?
Thanks ez0n3, schibo, and combattle! This is by far the best emulator in existence.

This is really awesome news. I haven't been to this forum in like two years, and I just stopped by to see if any updates to Surreal64 were made, and I see this. Awesome! Thanks to everyone who works on this and for the 1964 team finally releasing the 1.0 source.

well heres what I noticed with Surreal B5.1 CE
it won't play any of my perfect dark roms on my 128mb xbox I just get a black screen of death whereas Surreal 5.0 plays it pretty good using 1964 Rice 5.6
Can anyone else verify this?

Other than that I love it
The ability for it to remember all ur settings is amazing
For the first time I was able to get monopoly to play with the animations with almost no slowdown:)
and it was definitely using the extra ram so thats not the problem with perfect dark

On a side note about compatibility has anyone got Diddy Kong Racing to work most of my roms did what goldeneye multiplayer does, it froze at the character select screen (using ultrahle like goldeneye) and the sound loops. One rom european 1.1 I think let me enter the race than froze with the music looping.

i play diddy kong racing, and it works fine.
heres some info
1964 rice video plugin 5.60
usually 26 fps
the rom is named "diddy kong racing (U) (M2) (v1.1) [!]"
