It's good to see you are alive and kicking. Even better to see the progress you have made. I checked out B5.3 and am really excited for when you finish with the HD launcher and everything that will be going in with the new port.

That's some good news, freakdave. I'm actually still using your last build of Surreal as I still consider it the best currently available.

For me Surreal-XXX was one step forward and three steps back. Including the additional video plugins was a nice addition, but they weren't tweaked or optimised for the Xbox in any way as the original was. Also it was compiled from a WIP sourcecode that was never really intended for release. And finally we got that awful XXX menu system bolted on for no real reason. The result being an ugly buggy mess.

Glad to know there's still some hope for N64 emulation. The new/old launcher looks great. happy.gif

I've noticed a few things with the B5.3 work in progress and have a couple questions with it.
There is an additional Jttl plugin that has no sound. Is this the MusyX plugin?
Hiding launch screens doesn't function and skin selection doesn't work. Will these issues be ignored because of the new GUI?
HDTV launcher doesn't work yet. I saw a !NOT TESTED! I'd be willing to help you test certain things (HDTV, anything really) are you available in IRC?

Nope. According to the current source there are 5 music plugins available: None, JttL, Basic Audio, MusyX and LLE RSP.
The MusyX audio plugin was just a quick port. Unfortunately i haven't been able to make it work. All i get is a crackling sound loop at the start, hence i disabled it for the moment. But then again it was released together with 1964 v1.1, that might explain certain things rolleyes.gif

You are right about the launch screens. I guess 3z0n3 forgot to add some functionality when he introduced this new option ohmy.gif I'll look into it when i have some time.

The skin selection however does work. It will display a selection menu if you add a second skin into the skins folder. It falls back to the rom selection menu, if only 1 skin is present (that would be the default skin).
As for HDTV functionality: i can't test it, as i don't own the HDTV pack sad.gif
