Hello everyone,

Quite a few of the Xtras are out now.  It's hard for me to keep track of suggestions people have.  There haven't been many errors reported at all now, but I might forget when somebody tells me something if I don't put it in my own personal lists.  

Did I miss a game?  It's pretty likely I did, being a one man testing crew here.  This is a place to mention great foreign and unlicensed roms that I missed.  I don't think there is much chance I missed a licensed US-English game, but you could also post them here if I did.  Be sure to check gamefaqs first though because it may be a (E) or (J) clone of a US game I have already included in the sets.  

I have purged hundreds (Thousands?) of games from all of the systems that were clones so far.  Chances are I missed one or two along the way.

My issue was that, if you someday need to reupload Genesis stuff, remember to fix Lhx Attack Helicopter to LHX Attack Chopper (it's chopper, not helicopter. Ok, I'm too picky but have to be (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif))

Note the already soon to be changes in the Genesis lists (fixer sheet). More fixes, encouraged, if you find them guys.

Glad I made these threads now.  I didn't know if anyone noticed them.


I'm just as picky myself Frank.  My OCD seemed to spiral out of control on this project.  I can only do so much though, so if you or anyone else see any other fixes like this on any emulator, let me know here.  ESPECIALLY ARTWORK FIXES!!!!!!  I've tried my best to make this stuff perfect, but it'll have to be a group effort in the end.  

Fortunately, when the synopsis stuff is working in full motion, we should probably be able to see the games by their long name from the synopsis instead of being subjected to the 42 character limits on the Box.

I ran into some small minor spelling errors on the Genesis videos since I  label my games different and went 1 by 1 doing so but damn i forgot which ones i think 1 was Dynamite headdy was spelled Dynamite Heddy..

btw just curious If i label my roms different am I not going to be able to use the synopsis stuff or am I gonna have to edit the synopsis some how so it recognizes the rom its trying to read...?

I was under the impression that the synopsis was going to be able to recognize the crc data from the roms as well as the rom name itself.  So then we wouldn't have to worry about renaming the roms for the game synopsis.  Also, I appreciate the work that everyone is doing for the emulators - doing all the artwork and the videos etc.  It is going to be awesome when it is all finished!

There actually really isn't a need to do it any other way than with the CRC's except for PSX, so I don't know if madmab is doing it.  I don't know how much time, if any, that would add to a search too.  

If you change the names, and change the videos and artwork along with them you should be okay.  They're almost perfect as they are, with a few mistakes here and there, but nothing like the nightmare of converting all of them when we get a set with a bunch of (Atari), (J), (E), [!] crap attached to the names.  I'm not really concerned about bad romnames anymore since the emu will hopefully have the ability to display the full (more than 42 character) rom names in the future (by using the synopsis file "Game Title" header instead of the file name).  

The synopsis looks for the CRC, so it doesn't matter what the name is.   There just really isn't much reason to fix the romnames if we get that ability to disply the header info.

If something is wrong though, feel free to mention it and I will fix it before the next release.

Disney's The Lion King III

It's unlicensed game, but better looking than Lion King II, which you have already included Mega Man.
GoodGeb 3.00 have it. It's named Lion King 3 (Unl) [f1].gen, and working on Xbox.

Nes:

Just to say, Elite (E) is working on mednafen X  nes; you just have to say the emu to launch it in pal mode (X button when you are selecting a rom)

Pcsxbox: Vandal heart (european version) is working, without the "no enemy action"; you can choose the "english language in the euro version wich is fine; completed to the end.

Yeah, it's spelled taken, but I point to Mortal Kombat V, which title screen says: Mortal Combat
But more closely thinking, name it whatever you want because it's really hard to tell what are those games real names. You two just define standards, and we believe you

Just been checking the Megadrive stuff and have noticed that you don't have "Sonic & Knuckles" combined with any of the other Sonic games.

Was this deliberate?  Only "Sonic & Knuckles with Sonic 3" is possibly my fave MD game of all time

Plus, "Sonic & Knuckles with Sonic 2" is a good laugh playing the levels with Knuckles.

And finally, not to mention the bonus stages you can activate by putting Sonic 1 with S&K.

If you could add these it'd be great.  (Forgive me if I've been looking in the wrong place, or may have missed them).
