Alt. Bottom Solder Points For Tsop Flash
« on: September 26, 2003, 12:32:00 PM »

I was attempting to write-enable TSOP flashing and botched the solder job on the the bottom.
I'm trying to follow the traces to find alt. points to make a wire run but I'm having a hell of a time looking at it even with pics from my digi cam. Does anyone have a pic with points circled, or even a plain diagram of the mobo bottom, ect. that could help me out? I plan to use a multimeter just to double check conductivity once I locate possible points but my eyes hurt!!  (my botching makes it hard to know what trace to follow.) Version 1.0 xbox
Thanks if any one knows ;)

here's a high res pic of the bottom of my mobo if it helps

Edit: Ok, I may have figured it out, might THIS work?

Run the yellow wire in the second picture here on top.  You really can bridge those three pins in the TSOP.

I have trashed the bottom ones and fixed it here too.

Thanks Ventura and Perplexer, thats great!!! 2 alternatives!!!
I went ahead with the top wire run directly on the chip since I didn't log back in to see the other response immediatly. I didn't expect such good responses, this thread will probably be pretty helpful to others with the same predicament as myself.

I might as well give a link to KDragons thread on the alt. for the top of the mobo for anyone doing a search.

Getting ready to flash, got my fingers crossed! :D
