So all this features are already there? The current CoinOPS+ have this "single game config" working via Romstatus.xml?

Thats pretty cool, a list with all this XML tags will be nice, so we can tune each game with this stuff (like test many games with/without filters and see if affect the speed / visual , set volume etc).

I can do that, if you send me this info. I'm familiar with XML, C++ etc

BritneySPAIRS, did you every get any of the NBA JAMS and Mortal Combats to work at a good speed with sound? I was always hoping this would be possible, but know it's unrealistic to expect that.

mameox 0.72 is your best bet for those games to work with sound.

That will be added in the new patch...I will fix alot of games Double dragons... midway games with sound.... bonks adventure ..... after this build it will be driver fixing time not features time

Thought it might be handy to put some instructions on how to do stuff in coinops+/gold here:

In Game Controls
------------------
Cancel - BACK and START
On screen display - BACK and Right Analog
button
Toggle Crosshair - BACK and Left Analog
button
UI Configure - BACK and White button
Pause - BACK and Black button
Reset ROM - BACK, Left and Right
triggers
******* Load State - BACK, Right Analog

So was wondering how people are getting on with their screenshots? how do you link a screenshot to a game in the list? I assume you take the screenshot while playing the game "Save Screenshot - BACK, A button, and B button" is it then linked? or do you have to change some *.ini settings somewhere?

This bit is for people googling how to do stuff in coinops ((how to save game savegame screenshot coinops+ coinops gold pause load reset configure toggle)) - (should help people looking for instructions)

Coinops GOLD = class!!!

Ok. Tried to log on to an account i had at another Emulation site, where theres a lot of talk of releasing the updated files, however i cant get my details right so cant post or msg. I did notice there someone kindly listing the mame Light Gun games. Half of the list didnt work on any xbox version of mame anyway. The working half, which i still have, worked under CoinOps+ anyway. My question is BP...the fixed gun code you have added, is it fixing previously troubled games or adding something new ie Point Blank didnt work and Point Blank 2 had no sound. Calibration issues were the problem for a lot that looked like real good games. Are the GUN updates you have included more up to date than other xbox mame fixes or source copies ? Will post a list of known working roms later. The really crap ones wont be in the list cause i didnt keep them.

Light gun fixes are in and so is the new coloring (red ) of all lightgun games and a new sort type of Gun for all of them there is about 100 supported roms

Lots more than that got tested.... people had there chance to test these things for now its locked down and better than ever....it will be updated sometime with all the drivers ive corrected and others I will do . Till later im working on another project full time at present for the xbox smile.gif

Advice for users using the Light Gun games.

I used to use a 30" Sony Trinitron 4:3 res TV with Beretta 92fs Light Guns. No issues with the working roms.
see previous post on working rom list.

Changed at xmas to 37" 16:9 HD @ 720p with LCDTopGun, however if you stretch or resize the screen options to fit the rom to a 16:9 display you will suffer a lensing effect. I will explain. From the center of the screen then moving outwards ( left or right doesnt matter) the calibration stretches further out as you move from the center. To combat this i play my mame games in the native 4:3 type res but calibrate the LCDTopGun to cover the visible screen of 16:9. Works for me a treat very accurate (down to 1 or 2 mm). For 16:9 TVs over a certain size (32" i think) it is best to mount the LCD rails in a horizontal config. PS sit still with LCDTopGun as its mapping is laser guided so any movement or shuffling about on the sofa tends to stray from your fixed calibration but its not really a big issue.

Btw, BP... did you add more filters to this version? CoinOPS is a really nice emulator but the image looks a little blurred compared with others emus (on LCD TV).

Doesn't work with the latest CoinOPS Gold that is out and about. The games list text is misplaced.
