How Can I Enable Vsync On Dosxbox?
« on: September 20, 2009, 10:56:00 AM »

Sorry to bump an old thread - looks like this wasn't resolved - did the option to turn Vsync on get lost in v12 of dosxbox?

It's a shame, cos it's really noticeable on wolfenstein 3D.

Then its a good thing a port of Wolfenstein 3D already exists,
its an unlockable on "Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Tides of War"
though you can probably just copy the wolf3D files from the game disc to your HD and run it from there.

So i suggest you try finding that one.

Legally of course!  ph34r.gif

Unfortunately you can't. It's hard-coded into the xbe. But still it's the best way to play Wolf 3D on the Xbox.

I knew i remembered there being a standalone Wolf3D for xbox!

edit : hmm no sound support? good to see someone using openxdk but i doubt its fun without sound.

well an SDL version of the source seems to have been created, should make for easy porting no?

http://sourceforge.n...cts/gp32wolf3d/
and there's a GP32 port that apparantly has sound working..

Wolfenstein 3D & Spear of Destiny would be quite a welcome addition to the list of xbox ports,
maybe someday someone skilled enough might decide to look into it.
