Hi Ho
(Is there no "edit"button on XBoxscene?)

Further Testing of Earthworm Jim 2 has brought the followning results:

European version locks up in both ZSNES v1.51 (win) and ZSNEXBOX v3.3 + v3.5
(tested 2 different roms)

US version seems most likely to not lock up.

Again, lock-ups are in most cases (especially ZSNESwin) results of shooting the main gun!

I've got released games with trainer menus made by old scene groups like Anthrox, Elitendo. It appears that the in-game cheats don't work on emulators. But I remember they were OK back in the years on real hardware.
Is it a known issue ?

Hi, i was playing around with the different software filters and i found a (very) little problem. I believe some filters are mixed up. 2xsai is actually SuperEagle, and the other way around. Well, that is what i noticed when i compared it to zsnes on the pc.

Another filter thing i wondered about is this: what is the difference in AdvanceMame2x and SuperScale2x? I wasn't able to spot any difference.

I was able to find this page with some comparisons of SuperScale2x and other filters: http://clickteam.info/neatwares/ss2x/
However there is no comparison to AdvanceMame2x on that page.

Thanks for the emulator  love.gif

I have most of my emus setup after the screen resizing tutorial on http://fancyxbox.info, with the corresponding 720p values of the original resolution.
But with Zsnes it is impossible to find the correct screen size values for obvious reasons.  I would really appreciate settings like Xport did in his ports. (320x240 and not 641.729999)

Nevertheless it is an outstanding port!

Yeah, I'm the same.

If you don't need 4 player support then try out Snes9Xbox.

False

You can have the correct pixel ratio by using one of my pm3 skin for zsnexbox

8 in 1 pm3 skin pack for zsnexbox

I have set (with the help of some snes games like toys, zelda 3 etc...) the original pixel ratio. The info is stored in the skin folder. So load one of these skins in zsnexbox (don't touch anything), launch a game and TADAAA!!! You will play snes games on zsnexbox with the correct pixel ratio!

There is supposed to be a special frame in the screen adjustment mode (red or blue?), but I don't believe it is working. E.g. FF6 is not even close to 4:3 ratio. It's rather 1:1 :-p

Thanks, gilles, for the skin pack =)
(aren't you the one who made all those "rumbles"?)

Yep it's me i have created multiples rumbles for almost 80 supernes games.
Rumbles creation is one of my speciality! laugh.gif
If you follow the Xports project subforum, you'll notice i will release multiples rumbles for 50 nes games who have never rumbled before! (the most populars ones like the zelda serie, megaman serie, punch out, double dragon 2, rescue rangers , metroid, etc...)

About the snes pixel ratio; if you launch one of the "8 in 1 pm3 skin pack for zsnexbox"  above, it will launch your snes games with the correct pixel ratio, play toys or zelda 3 to see what i mean, you' won't have any pixels distortion anymore if you are playing WITHOUT any filter and with flicker filter set to "0" (wich i  higly suggest). and - yes - i know it looks like a 1:1 screen . but the only method to check if the ratio is right is by launching a game like "toys", "zelda 3", or "live a live" (or a game with horizontal and vertical movments).
Launch one of these skins and "BINGO" no pixels distortion in any game with vertical or horizontal movments!

Hmmm I may ask you in the future when I get around to Snes9X box to create some of those codes for it.  Just like we are doing with the NES.

Not anytime soon, but it would be cool.  I like having these extras in there for people to enjoy and the database format makes it easy for people to do it too!

Hey Gilles,

I read an instruction manual online on how to create rumbles a few years back (I believe it was Guybird's at the repository, but I could be wrong).

You don't have that, do you?  I think it would be a great manual to add to the Xtras home page in the "Help us make X" section.  I never made any, but after reading it I was sure I could if I spent the time to do it.

Maybe we can get you some help on that front.

@ gilles: About your skins: Itried some of your skins and BOOM! i only saw half of the screen anymore (or 1/3). The menu was still centered, but consited of a few lines alone.

The only (fast) way to get back to normal was to delete the ZsnexBox.ini.

I have an NTSC Xbox with 4:3 screen ratio. LoRes, via RGB cable.

After that I had an idea: look up the resolution of a SNES and set that in the calibration mode. That should do the trick with the right aspect ratio as well, huh?

One more thing for anyone who can improve ZSNEXBox:
v3.3 and v3.5 both are not capable of remembering some settings which can be changed in the general options, like "# of rewind slots".

I also think that "rewind" should not rewind as fast as it does currently, since even a fast tip on the left stick goes back several slots.
(OK, rewind is only available in ZSNEXBox and is already freaking awesome)

Almost every Emu on Xbox has the feature of changing the whole button layout. Why not ZSNEXbox?
