I gotta say that I'm damn near Monkish in my XBox obsession, but for 95% of the time emumovies are absolutley fine and I think you guys are blowing this all out of proportion a bit.
Even though I just download them and then converted, I did convert more than 250 of them, one at a time by hand before Horscht made the batch for me, so don't kid yourself that I didn't do a lot of work even though I haven't actually physically created a video from scratch. I'd just turn around and release them, but then nobody would fill in the blanks. Sorry to keep them hostage, but that's the only way things ever get done in a community where everyone's work is done for free at the benefit of people who for the most part do nothing but download and then bitch in the forums when something doesn't work that the free product should be better. (I'm talking about the noob posters who are too bothered to read the answer thread and come right in here and bitch about an emu for whatever reason. I'm not talking about anybody posting on this thread here)
Between that work and my testing and decloning, making full artwork packs to release in the future and trying to rally the troops around here, I just don't have time to make even the missing videos, let alone replace any of the emumovies that are perfectly fine.
I know nobody was talking ill of me or what I've provided here, but some of the tone in the last day has seemed a bit ungreatful and I would appreciate that if you toned it down some. I'm busting my own balls here to bring all of this to you and to make sure there aren't mistakes the first time around.
You're more than welcome to make your own movies to provide for SNES and other emus in the future. In that case we need nearly 700 redone for the SNES, over 1,000 for Genesis/Sega CD/32x, 90 or for Atari Lynx, and probalby a few hundered for TG-16. And that's just the emus we have video previews for so far.....
I'm not yelling, I'm just trying to keep it in perspective. I don't have the next 5 years of my life to make every little video perfect and my OCD, although crippling at times, is not going to force me to redo a bunch of videos that are already done because they're not shot with the professionalism of Olliver Stone.
I do agree that in many cases that Horscht's videos are better than emumovies, but 9 out of 10 times emumovies aren't as bad as some are saying here, and are perfectly fine given the short use that they're all actually REALLY going to get in real life. Just don't watch Adventures of Rockey and Bullwinkle's vid on loop, and only your most intuitive and observant friends would even notice. (IMG:
