I agree with everything you said there nes.

Unfortunately, I am currently unable to edit your SNES emulator so that I can control where the videos are at, among a few other things (at least, I haven't figured out how to do it yet).  I have spent a few months making the synopsis as well, which only works on the XPORT emus currently, so I do like seeing the hard work I put into that.

I'm not asking for the ability to use the synopsis in ZSNESXBox, although that would be EXTREMELY cool. I would just like to have more control over where the emu looks for certain things. Even if it's not an option you could change in the emu itself, it would be nice to be able to edit some .ini file or something so I can have ZSNES point to F:\Media\SNES\Movies where I have all of the SNES movies now.  This is the format I use for all of my media for all systems now (The only exception being the artwork for ZSNES, which I'm not worried about because 1/2 GB doubled doesn't worry me at all).  I just don't want to have to host 1,086 SNES videos in two different places. That is 11.6 GB that I'd have to put on my box twice.

No disrespect meant to ya, since before Madmab has been updating everything your emu was always my favorite.  I just get a little frustrated when I see you do come back in here and you do answer some people but you never seem to answer my posts.  Probably just an oversight.  I know you're a busy guy and that this stuff isn't on your priority list anymore.

Great emu you got there.

None taken. I was just curious.

Sorry about that. I'll take a look and see if I can add support for that. Unfortunatly, I have very limited internet access. If I wanted to release a new version of ZsnexBox, I would have to go to a hotspot (like Starbucks). I'll see what I can do. I have a couple Arcade ports I'm trying to finish so I'll try to release a new version of ZsnexBox then. Thanks for helping keep the scene alive (along with Giles9999 and Madmab). Most people left two years ago.

Sounds great man.  cool.gif

BTW... Did you ever grab any of the videos we've created here?  You provided us with about 45 in the beginning when you started this.  Now there are thousands of videos available for many of the XPORT emulators and tons more to come.

Thanks for getting that started,

To nes:
Many people left here a few years ago after the hype of the xbox 1 died... but as everyone (here at least) knows, the heart of emulation on a console platform lies in the Xbox.

Being an old DreamCast Emu scene fan, I was absolutely amazed to see what had transferred over into hard work and progress on the Xbox

Zsnexbox sets a high standard for all emus and is the best SNES experience, period.

That's why I decided to help and will continue to help the scene in any way I can.
(For those who don't know: I have spent a year meticulously working on the Xtras team, creating around 1000 videos and dat files among other things.)

Who knows when the next great emu "console wave" will happen in the next gen...? (I don't believe the Wii is the answer)

I know there are still a ton of folks who love this scene's work and are interested in it's progress...
now a matter of their contribution is to be scene...
cool.gif

I know you said you wouldn't really work on Zsnexbox again, but since the creation for the Xtras, there has been new possibilities that were not there until now.

I would love to see some updates to Zsnexbox
Thanks nes6502 smile.gif

hey love the emu!

quick question. is there any way to skip the video preview music so my background music keeps playing when scrolling though the rom list? i tried taking out the music when converting to xmv but the background music still stops when viewing a rom with a video. be nice to jam out to the music while searching for a game to play. like i can in mednafenx_nes.

quick question about ZSNEXbox for anyone who might know.

is there a way to change the default music player location? it usually defaults to the music folder within the ZSNEXbox folder that contains various game music that you can play.

there's no option to change this directory path and i would like to have it point to at least E:/Music on my xbox, if not my SMB shares on my computer (which would be preferred).

thanks for any input.

Sorry. There's no way to change that path and SMB is not supported.

If there is ever another release of zsnexbox (best snes emu on the xbox by far  biggrin.gif ) would it be possible to include modified snes9xbox or xsnes9x as extra cores for playing starfox 2 etc? (still using the zsnexbox launcher). It would just be great to have snes emulation all in one place on the xbox.

Ahhhh and there is your problem....

Do not use the wide icons....noooooooo...they are rather ugly and pointless...

Nooo....

You should use the box art.....now that is rather sexy....Choose the game just like you choose a movie...

Yes Sireeee.....

Sexiness on an xbox...if you've set up the xtras already...then it's only 1 tiny extra step...

Now I don't think ya'all know how cool it is to hear somebody I may have only spoken to briefly once, if ever, say something like that.

Just wait until March guys and gals.... what's on the horizon is going to blow away the old Xtras.   cool.gif
