Also THIS SITE has some great icons made by Cospefogo, some of my favorite, although by your standards I guess it wouldn't constitute a complete set, although it's good enough for the emulators that I use. He has a "comic" version and a "real" version for these emulators, as well as some really good icons for some specific games.

Guybird your icons look ace, but I'm not a fan of the blue.  I think if you made the background totally black and then did a slight white glowing effect around whatever pic you use that would be awesome (the glow could be whatever colour you'd like, blue would look good there).  Either that or just a fade to a PMIII like gray.

Whatever you choose to do could you make a wide folder icon for "Retro Computers" kinda like the Arcade, Console, and PC Ports you did?  Oh, and don't neglect some of the lesser known/used emulators like Supervision!

Keep up the good work, I wouldn't be making suggestions if I didn't really like what you're doing.

I'm going to continue using the layout I have until I get all of the icons completed.  Once that is done, I'll have the layouts and systems/logos/text already laid out, so modifying the area behind the systems will be quick and painless.  I definitely will experiment with other layouts though.

I really like this set and I can't wait until it is completed.But in the mean time I did my best to complete this set until that time comes.I am no artist by no measure it is my first attempt of anything of this nature.With that being said I dont care to be critisized about it that is ok.I just wanted the set complete and anyone interested in the remaining ones that I have completed until guybird finishes his can grab mine on my my space account.My user name is the same as it is here if you search for it you should find them.

I've never used the wide icons before (Still too busy messing around with rom collection perfection for that yet).  Do you use them with XBMC?

not to put words in his mouth... but yup yup I'm sure that is what most people use these icons for. I'm fairly sure most everyone uses xbmc as their dashboard now. But anyway, it's not nearly as time consuming as you would think... place the icon you want in the emulator folder on your hdd and just rename it default.tbn and your good to go... Well you might actually have to delete the thumbs in the userdata folder... but that's all.

Cool.  I use the 360 skin myself, so I'm wondering if this would work for me.  The icons on that don't seem like they'd work with these.  Which skin would you use them with?

Look sweet on pm3 and looks pretty cool on the new media stream one.PM3 either wide or big wide is what I got running.

Most skins have a wide icon view so it's just a matter of preference. You just have to scroll through the available views and find one you like. If I recall mc360 has a wide icon view but the icons are not very big.... I personally like the icons to be as big as possible. I used to use the xtv skin for that reason. I modified that skin so I could go straight to "games" and straight to "emulators" without going to programs first... but I digress... xtv has a nice big wide icon view, and pm3 is always a good one to use. The new "Media stream" is of course the hot skin right now... However it is so polished and complex that I'm not sure you would like it since it seems like you primarily use your xbox for emulators (?).

Personally, I have done a Wide Icon for every single Emulator, Homebrew, and Application all in the same style/format. As seen in the Wide Icon page right, and shown here:

I didn't get these completed before my pc's power supply failed.  I just got around to getting a replacement, so when it gets here in a few days hopefully I can finish this all up.  I also had already cleaned some of them up as you can see when they are all lined up, the logos are a bit off.  I'll probably also go through and check into making an alternate set with the blue area transparent.  That should look nice depending on which skin your using.  Ultimate509, those icons are NineT9mustang's.  PM him if you want to know more about his icons.
