Topic: Wide Icons For Our ROMs (Read 2217 times)

Only discovering the .cut's in the past week or two I'm really compelled to really customize my roms and get every rom I like segregated into the proper genre along with a nice wide icon to keep it all custom looking.

I'm really hoping that I'm not the only one atm who cares about these .cuts and that more of you have made icons for your favorite games and would like to share them with the rest of us.

So I'll start off with what I've made and hopefully they'll be of use to some of you and others can pitch in with their contributions. Between the lot of us we might be able to cut our .cut work in half or better =)

Also if any of you have a folder sitting around with a ton of helpful game logos, icons, screenshots n such would be extremely helpful for me. I can whip em out pretty fast if I have the images already.

So here's to Pimpin our emu's to the max!

FYI, i love all of you guys for not giving up on our "dead" boxes and continuing to find new ways to breath life into our scene. Thank you all... even the noobs!

Hmm, should I keep posting these? I'm not doing it for praise but it would be nice to know if anyone appreciates them and might use them. Not much point posting them if no one cares.

I'm interested in the wide icons

but is their any way that you could post a packed file containing all the wide icons that you made?

Aye the 2nd one I hadn't seen before. Unfortunately they're not doing any for individual roms which is what I'm attempting to do here.

Atm I don't have any plans on packing these into rars. It's a lot of searching, editing and time consumption so i figure it's only fair you can click a few links on this page to find the icons you want. Plus that's half the fun. So the answer is no. But if you want to pack them and post them somewhere feel free. Just give me credit for making them.

FYI I intentionally made the images darker because the xbox lights them up something fierce. So if they look OK on this page they'll be too bright on the xbox.

These are sweet man. Keep 'em comming. I plan on getting around to this feature when I get my MAME and PSX finally straightened out.

Hopefully others will have some to add as well.

Got a link you could put here where somebody gives detailed instructions on how to use .cut files so we can have the .cut files and the instructions in one place?

FYI I recommend the SLATE skin for viewing Wide Icons, it's very clean and shows off the wide icons better than any other skin, imo.
