Horrible Tsop Flash
« on: September 22, 2003, 06:12:00 PM »

I was flashing my fifth friends tsop with the matrix mod flash method, (the four b4 very successful) you know the one where the wire is connected from the tsop(w2) to the w1 point, and the wire must of come loose after it got done erasing the original bios cause it only got a cm down the progress bar when it froze up, now the only way it boots is with my lpc mod hooked up to it, and when i try to flash the bios again through evox under the slayer's disc or the audio exploit (with phoenix) it gives me " !!Unkown Flash Type!! " and it will not try to flash if any one can help please do.  Basically I think the tsop only has a 10th of the full 1mb x2 bios i was trying to put on there.  So i don't even have 256k to work with.  Is it possible to reflash this tsop under these conditions?

I think you might be able to do the 007 TSOP flash to get it to work. When you telnet to the box it'll delete what's ever on the tsop. Then you can write what ever you want onto it. Plus you don't have to install the chip every time just two or four drips of solder.
Make sure that the TSOP is supported from your evox. That can throw it off.

if he has a 1.0 he should be able to fix with a matrix, 1.1 maybe, otherwise he needs a 29 wire mod
