I was finally able to get my hands on this. The actual link I was using (404 page not found) worked fine if I broke the url down into smaller parts and tried them that way, similar to an ftp but it worked. I cannot wait to try this out--

ok here is the stand alone ARCADES interface for anyone that wants it

it wont stay up 2 long so share it around

you will need to install it and also put the save game (Tdata Udata 4d414d46) into E:/Tdata/4d414d46 and E:/Udata/4d414d46 make sure old save is gone

You can scan any roms you want it in.
Its just the Interface.
You could also change the MAMEDox.xbe (Not default.xbe that is the Arcades Interface) from any build remove the save, and then recopy the - Save for Arcades from this file, and it will rebuild using that versions rom set.

Note platium 2 users can overwrite platium 2 but use the platium 2 save it will work fine for them as well... A full patch up soon for platium 2 users

man, i cant get this to work! help please? it just freezes on load screen. I havent done anything extra to the folder, all I did was ftp it

this is the best release of mamedox called Acrades you won't find it on xbins.org so heres the link:

this is the upgrade latest release patch so you will need the original release because this release is so that you drag and drop over writing the old with the new.

Instructions: Mamedox Platinum 2 to Arcades

1. Copy Mamedox platinum 2 (3.39 GB) to your Xbox {file located somewhere on the web-find it)
2. Drag and Drop the Mamedox Platinum 2 to Arcades patch dir into the Mamedox plat 2 dir overwriting the old files with new.
3. Copy the saves in the Mamedox Platinum 2 to Arcade dir (- Save for Arcades) into your save folder in your e partition, overwriting any existing Mamedox save files
4. Enjoy (run Arcade emulator)

This release runs every game listed:

man, this looks good, but i cant find the files anywhere! I searched for platinum 2 for hours on google, but only got forum hits and what not......

oh well, if I can get ahold of the files, I will be sure to test it out!

hmmmm, ok i just got ahold of most mamedox stuff from a big folder from "the place". Now my mamedox refuses to load any games! it will finish loading the files, say Loaded!, and stop. Now the bendermameox will run the roms within 5 seconds of load.

Any ideas? I do belive Mamedox is the better program of the two right?

sometimes mamedox can take a while to load some of the roms depending on size,especially those neogeo monsters,you just have to sit back and wait.

the best mamedox currently for the xbox is called Arcade... heres the link

but this is a patch file only, you need mamedox plat 2 in order to upgrade to Arcade. trust me this will run all games with no problems. by the way the only place you could find plat 2 for the xbox are through file sharing networks. and just follow the direction next to upgrade.

So I have this on the desktop of my computer.
It's just sitting there, looking at me..... I think it wants to go outside.

I have a standard Xbox, no hard drive upgrade.

Is there any way to trim this puppy down to something less monstrous?

I'm using Windows XP with hardly any applications installed.

you can delete some of the roms you dont want.

For some reason I thought it was just this big meaty chunk of something.

I didn't realize that it could be extracted using Power ISO.
