I'm finally working on my PSX collection and I seem to have a major problem that there may or may not be a fix for. Anyone who regularly visits the PSX compatibility thread knows that there are probably 1 Billion different configurations you could have for any one game to get it to work. Now here's my problem.
Say I wanted to play a game which required me to use "HLE" mode. Great... I select the game, use HLE mode and the game works without a hitch. Now my problem comes when I want to play another game that uses "Bios" mode. I have to manually change the settings to "Bios" mode from "HLE" mode because the emulator starts automatically in "HLE" mode since that is the last configuration I had for the emulator. This even happens if I've played this game before in "Bios" mode. No matter which settings I use for any one game, they are all used on the next game I select, regardless of whether I've played it before or not.
I know that nearly every emulator that I've used saves the individual settings you use for each and every game seperately so this doesn't happen. I'm wondering if this happens to everyone else with PCSXBox, or if maybe I somehow screwed up the emu and I should just get another copy of the emulator and see if that will fix the problem.
If ever there was an emulator that should save game configurations individually, it would be PCSXBox. Not knocking the emu at all (IMG:
