AGAIN!!!
HFG. I've just downloaded the Cpx3. Installed it on my f: drive under the Emulation folder. It (the icon) shows up in all of my different dashes (xbmc360, unleash_x, Evox, Avalunch, etc..). The problem is that I get a black screen whenever I launch it. I have to either power-off my xbox or hit the Eject button, which causes it to reboot. So what am i doing wrong ? can someone help me out.

I've re-downloaded the files from xbins several times & still the same result. It doesn't load. Now, has any-1 else had any type of problems like this? I would like some help. THANK YOU.

try launching it in ntsc-j

and or delete your cps3x game save!!!!

Jagosix,

What is your Xbox resolution set at? Is it 576i, 480i, 480p, 720p or 1080i?

I believe CPX3 only works under 576i (PAL), 480i (NTSC) and 480p.

<insert awesome wide icons here>

How about a wide icon for the emulator itself?

HFG. Well...This particular xbox is hooked up to my RCA 1080i HDTV & resolution is set for 720p. So the HDTV resolution could be the problem? If the resolution is a problem , is there a way to get it to work in HD-Def mode?
Craze7  - How can I have a game save when the emulator won't even start?

Since I have several xboxes, I tried on my kids system & it worked like a charm. Then again their tv is a SD.

So what are you getting at?

DO I have to go into the Xbox dah and Turn off the ability for 720p and 1080i?

DO I have to set my avalaunch or XBMC (yes I use XBMC AS a dash) to 480P  before I launch?

Just curious.

Interesting find.

I booted my Xbox (The 1480 Friendtech DreamX) with the Switch in the Normal position (740.5mhz) and then loaded the Emulator from Both Avalaunch and XBMC.

The emu booted fine and I was able to get sound in all games.

After loading a Rom - It played fine - as it would on a normal Xbox (which works fine, by the way, and 128 meg of ram don't do anyhting for the emulator on a regular Xbox in terms of framerate help - though im sure it can be optimized in future builds to help with ROM loading and enable less swap files for better performance.)

anyways..

Each rom played as if they would on a normal Xbox - I was getting slowdown in some SF, Alot of slowdown in WIZARD (espcially on zooms and specials) and some slowdown in JOJO's.

Though, Once in game I can flip the switch from Normal to Turbo to enable the 1481 mhz on the fly and the game run full speed - all slowdown dissappears.

I play Wizard for about 2 hrs and there is absolutely NO SLOWDOWN - JOJO's I think atually ran faster than it was supposed to (it was silky smooth).  I was able to use the frame counter - though even at 1481mhz - the frame counter makes things studder here and there.  With it turned off EVERY GAME plays 100% at full speed.  ALL ZOOMS, Special effects and more work with no issues or slow down.

NOW - When I UNLOAD a rom I have to make sure to flip the switch back to normal before I do so - If not sound goes bye bye and i have to reboot.  After I flip the switch to normal I can Unload the Rom, select a new one, Load it up - once it gets to the CAPCOM screen and I confirm sound - I can flip the switch back to Turbo and the game plays fine.  Even save states and Load states work fine.

Anyone with a 1GHZ Xbox get any results yet?

Any other Friendtech users out there confirm what I am saying here?

First its not Wizard but Warzard/RedEarth  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)  and second - if you turn of sound emulation on normal xbox its also play much faster (without slowdown).

Yes, disable 720p and 1080i in the Xbox dash and set Ava or XBMC to 480p. See if that helps.

A game takes around 10 ~ 15 seconds to load. This is for the ROM versions and not the CHD versions which I don't use.

This can be related to virtual memory usage (i think emu use space from the partition where its installed)
anyway its need about same amount of free space as the ROM you try to run (if hd is full you don have picture at all or sprites are messed/wrong colors)

Maybe this will be corrected in later version - emu will be use space from X,Y,Z

Why would I turn off the sound?  MY Xbox runs at 1481 MHz - not 733 - What Im tring to say is that there is a Friendtech 1480 DreamX Bug with this emu - but I figured out a way around it.  Also with this Xbox there is no slowdown at all what so ever. - O h i see - U said on a REGULAR XBOX - Yes - On a regular Xbox it does help the framerate.

Now - any recomendation on how to capture video clips - without filming my TV?

IS there software I can use that I can hook it up to my PC and play and record in windows?

I will still post some clips via video camera soon.

I would be real interested in a build of this emu that correctly renders the shadows / pverlays - to see how much of a hit it would take on the DreamX
