Well, I'm no Photoshop wizard, but I think these turned out pretty well afterall.

Hope you like 'em.  smile.gif

Yes! I like them!
Awesome!

I still miss/need good pictures of NES, SNES, GENESIS and GAMEGEAR,
to make the banners for the USA consoles. I have picture of Japanese gadgets
only down here.

Cheers,
Cospefogo.

Retroplay,

On the NeoGeoCD image, do the following:

CRTL + L for LEVELS.
Roll the BLACK and WHITE slides to get better dark
and light areas.

Then go to filter / Noise / Despeckle.
Then press SHIFT + CRTL + F
Choose FADE of 50%

Then go to filter / sharpen
Select sharpen edges
Then press SHIFT + CRTL + F
Choose FADE of 50%

This can help a bit with grainy images.

Thanks Cospefogo You're the man.

Will any of the following pictures be any good? I got these from Deviantart.com it is a great site for cool artwork of all kinds.  I couldn't find any good Sega Gamegear pictures and the nintendo and snes ones aren't that good, but maybe you can use your skills to make them work? However, I do think that the two sega genesis pictures (the last two) are both respectable.

NOTE: the pics can be enlarged after you click them... though i know you knew that.

Comrades,

Yesterday night I was testing my wide icons on the Xbox
and unfortunately I did not like the results. The colors
on the COMIC ones (the ones for the emulators) where
too vibrant and the logos were too simplistic.

I have spent some time today to create a full new
set - I the final one, hopefully.

Here's my share!
Cheers,
Cospefogo.

So any idea what I might be doing wrong here? When I launch the .cut it launches the emu but not the rom.

I know the artwork might be hard to come by, but is there any chance you guys could create some wide icons for the lesser known emulators too?  For emulators like XVectrex, SoftVMUx, and Chip8x (that last one might be impossible)?

FBA-XXX is the only emulator that allows you to launch the rom just by using the rom name, all X-Ports emulators require the FULL PATH to the rom in the <game> tag....e.g.

Nice punchout icon too! smile.gif

Here's Samurai Shodown 2. I'm gonna get some webspace together pretty soon with all my icons together in one place as there's a few I haven't posted yet.

Gentlemen,

Just want to inform everybody that the .CUT trick
does not work on FinalBurnAlpha Pro with versions
under 1.25 (1.26 maybe too...)

I was getting black screens when I did try to
load a game using the shortcuts.

I was also afraid of update to version 1.28 (the
last one) since some friend said it no longer
has the 720x480 video mode.

Anyway, I did update mine and really everything
still the perfect as the same!

Cheers,
Cospefogo.

Finding a picture (in good quality) of one these is quite hard, so I just used this from the guts of one (RCA COS/MAC).
