Yeah, and with games like Super Gouls & Ghosts, save states are a blessing.

I also like them 'cause I can hit the White button and go right back to leveling in FFIII instead of having to scroll through all the bs screens like I did in 1994.

I think you can only do that through the menus.

If you could be more specific, it would help.  I've looked through every menu I can think of.

I found a place under controller options, but it only allows you to set it to a single controller button (a, b, x, y, black, white, etc) and not combos.  And even when it's set to disabled, left trigger+back save and right trigger+back load, so I think this is just an additional setting.  I can't even find it in the ini file to manually hack it.

Right now I'm guessing it's hard-wired in the code, but I haven't actually checked the source.

Hey nes, have you thought about putting that Retroplay dudes screen alignment as your default? It works extremely well and it'd be easier just to have that as the default. Just a thought. smile.gif

sorry to bug you in another thread nes!

was just wondering, now that xport has released his source would you consider looking at his techniques for rendering to the screen and possibly build them in to zsnexbox?

Hi guys

Thanks for the emu I love it. few questions though.

I'm trying to play Weapon lord game, it seems  to be missing a lot of sound effects, what settings can I change to get them to produce properly?

Also does anyone know if Dirt Racer is playable some way?

Cheers

Josh

Weaponlord is much more playable in Snexbox 1.43 as is dirt tracks. Neither of these two are playable in Zsnexbox and are not fully emulated in any either. I havn't tried them in Xsnex9x 1.42 or xSnex9x 1.41. They may work better in those versions.

Pretty sure it's there.  I'd check again.  I wouldn't trust any other source for emulators besides the usual place anyhow.  No way I'm putting emus on my box that could have tampered code in them.

I'd look right now and verify, but I'm not at home.  Good luck.

Zsnes works fine but freezes when trying to launch any rom. I am using 720p mode. Roms check fine with NSRT. It has been doing this since the earlier builds off and on but now it is with every rom.

Is there a folder somewhere in tdata/udata maybe screwing things up?

XBMC is my dash.

Do your roms actually have valid extensions (or extensions at all)? (i.e. zip, smc, swc, etc..not rar, 7z)

Are you launching them off a DVD? If so, are they fatx compliant?

I have never launced a single game that froze the Xbox.

They are all zipped. Just deleted and uploaded a brand new current set of roms. Launching from HDD. The list of roms shows up fine, but not a single one will launch. I'm going to try to run them through Romcenter to verify even though NSRT says no problem.

Deleted zsnes and uploaded a brand new one off xbins. Same deal.

Just uploaded snes9x as a test and the roms run fine. Something funny is going on with Zsnes. Never had any problems with any other homebrew, and everything else on my box is working as it should.

If you FTP ZsnexBox to your Xbox, I would make sure all the folders are transferring. There may be nothing in the cheats (?) folder (i.e. placeholder.txt) and it is not transferring. I would compare the xbox directory with what is in the zip. A missing folder will cause this type of crash. Also, are you editing the Path.ini? If that is edited and the paths in it don't exist, it will cause a crash as well.

Haven't edited the ini at all.

Maybe it's a rom issue after all, now any rom in xsnes9 loads but I do not get video, just sound. Even from the ones that were working. I'll report back after I find the latest dat for Romcenter. Thanks for the troubleshots.
