Gnuboy Working Roms Freezing

I downloaded Gnuboy a few weeks back put some roms in a folder and it would'nt load up the roms. We'll i figured out the folder with the roms was named wrong, so now it displays my roms. When i try to play one it freezes up. Could it be bad roms?

Gnuboy is a relatively old project, for GameBoy games I would recommend XBoyAdvance (latest version is 20). First better try running the games with that one, maybe you are more lucky (IMG:style_emoticons/default/wink.gif)
