Tsop-x2lite
« on: September 09, 2003, 06:20:00 PM »

i was just looking at the tsop which i un soldered from my broken mobo,  and then noticed that it looked a lot like the xecuter 2 lite chip.  i ligned it up and it looked like it was the same EXACT chip on the xecuter 2 lite accept for theres no writing on the front of the lite's chip.  i just wanted to share this and i was also wanted to know if maybe it was the same.  if it is then i guess it would be pretty damn easy to flash a tsop without need of xbox, u cud just get something that snaps onto the chip or somethign and programs it with the computer, after you enabled flashing.

There is technology to flash loose chips like this.  Your chip is not necessarily the same as the x2 chip, since there are multiple brands for the xbox.. and I don't know what the x2 chip has.  I'll find a picture for you in a just a sec.

edit:
Eh, rather than illegally take pictures out of bunnie's book, I'll just link you to him.  http://www.xenatera.com/bunnie
Look at TSOP package FLASH ROM burner.. expensive~
