I have been using Zsnexbox 1.2 for months. However, now whenever I load a rom, my controller becomes useless. It doesn't respond in the game and I can't even use it to restart to the Xbox. What have I done to suddenly keep Zsnexbox from recognizing my controller.

Note that I have full functionality until I load a rom. Before that I am able to fully use the controller in the main menu.

Help!

I apologize if this is an easy fix. I have spent the morning searching through FAQ's but haven't found what I'm looking for.

Please upgrade to ZsnexBox 2.99b1. I completely replaced all the broken controller code a long time ago. I think you'll be pleased with all the new features added since 1.2 as well as fix your controller issue.

Don't think I can.
I bought the Xbox from someone else with the 1.2 version installed.

I've tried to search through these threads to figure out where I can download the latest version but it's too cryptic

I think I've figured out how to DL it.
I just have to figure out the install now.

I've only added roms before, so we'll see how this works out as I try to intall a new program.

Wish me luck

1) Extract the archive
2) Burn a CD/DVD
3) Start the Xbox and open a file browser (i.e. the one in UnleashX, Evox, or XBMC)
4) Copy everything to yourXbox hard drive where all your other apps are installed.
5) Move your roms over to the new roms folder
6) Run the default.xbe to start the emulator. If you put it where all your other apps are installed it will likely show up in your dashboard menu.

Or if you don't want to burn a CD, you can ftp to your Xbox and transfer them over that way.

Is there a way to set fps per game?

I know you try to get roms to run at 60 fps but for certain games I want to limit the frame rate to 30.

No. SNES games ran at 60 on the console and that's what ZSNES emuates them at (or 50 for PAL games). Just out of curiosity, why would you want to limit the emulation to 30?

try xsnes9x with a software filter
