As many of us know some of the best music was on the snes and other early systems despite the limitations of those machines.

I think some of the best music is on those systems because of the limitations. smile.gif

This week I've been adding fading, silence detection (for tracks without timing information), and information text support to Game_Music_Emu, the sound engine that this uses. I'll be sending to nes6502 and company in a few days so it can be used in the next version. This will allow most nice features of a game music player with very little programming effort.

I totally and completely agree. Limitations are what stir up creativity.

Now, if you can only implement the music playback of the music stored in the microsoft dashboard on the Menu.. That would be awesome.. biggrin.gif

Where is it stored on the Xbox hard drive?

I just upgraded from version 2.97 to 2.99. I overwrote everything in the Zsnex file except for my saves folder.

When I load Zsnex, I get a black screen with a white rectangle a little off center.

What am I doing wrong?

Ok. I figured overwtiting the folder would overwrite everything in it. If I overwrite the saves folder, will I lose the saves? (So for future releases I don't worry about losing them.)

I think playing classic game music is more important then playing random music on your xbox, just my opinion though.

First off, I'd like to say that this is an amazing Snes emulator on XBox.  Definitely my favorite.  However, there is one thing that is holding me from deleting XSNES9x off of my hard drive.  Perhaps this was touched upon, but I searched and could not find anything.  Perhaps this is a limitation of the current core that is used, and will be resolved with multiple core support, but when I play super mario world, it seems as though some of the sounds are a little messed up.  A good example of this is when you grab a Yoshi Coin.  Sounds as though the sound effects are almost cut off.  Perhaps it's something that I did.  However, this is not a gripe, just a question.  Thanks a lot for giving us this emulator, Nes, it's given me many hours of enjoyment.

Yes,

I think everything is core related.
Try to play Final Fight 1 and you will see problems on the voices and sounds.
I did notice weird sound behavior in Super Mario World too.

Let's wait for newer version!
Cheers,
C.

I've just downloaded all the new skins that were made by Antiriad and only 16 skins are selectable even though I have more skins in my skins folder.  Is there a limit of 16 skins that can be selected in the GUI?  If so can the limit be increased since more skins are coming out? Thanks

Nes already said he'd do this.

Will Top Gear 3000 ever work again? Playing it on v1.2...but would like to be able to use game genie for it sometimes.
