ZsnexBox 2.99

What's new:

-Added a music player to the GUI. Music is played at 44100 16-bit stereo. The following file formats are supported: GBS, SPC, NSF, VGM, GYM, and VGZ.

This covers the following systems:

Nintendo
Super Nintendo
Sega Genesis
Sega 32X
Sega Master System
Sega Game Gear
Gameboy
Gameboy Color
SG-1000

-Updated the FAQ.

Usage:

-I have included some sample music for all formats.

-For files that contain multiple tracks (like Gameboy and NES), the white button goes to the next track and the black button goes to the previous track.

-To stop a track (and resume the background music), press "X". Otherwise, the selected song will loop.

Thanks
-Blarrg for the excellent music library and for help with the code to implement it.
-Anyone I forgot.

Read the Help/FAQ built right into the emulator.

Thanks for all the work you have put into making this emulator.  Also will the next version which I assume is 3.0 have multicore support or are you still adding more features?

Cool, I have some SPCs hanging around!

Sorry to ask you this, but is the MP3 format gonna be supported one day? I think you've previously answered this question, but I don't quite remember where(it's not in the FAQ).

Lol so instead of reading the documentation that I took the time to write, you'll just ask me to write it again

Good idea?

Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day.  Teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime.

That, and I'm sure he's getting tired of answering that particular question.

Thanks so much for your continued hard work, nes.  The main thing I'm looking forward to right now is multi core, but I just love it when such a feature rich program becomes even more so.

Wicked addition with the emu sound players! I wish XBMC had full support of all these... here's hoping. Any chance you could please add GBA support? Source here:

Well, it looks like I botched my update.  Figures that this is the one time that I didn't backup.  I think that my problem has to do with my path.ini file.  When I leave it at its defaults (D:\etc) zsnexbox boots, but with garbled graphics and sounds.  But when I tried to point path.ini to the real locations of my files (E:\emulators\zsnexbox), nothing boots at all and I have to restart my xbox.

Right now my path.ini looks like this:

E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 1\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 2\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 3\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 4\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 5\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 6\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 7\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\artwork\Shots 8\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\sram\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\save\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\ini\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\rumble\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\cheats\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\garbage\
E:\emulators\znesxbox\znesxbox\roms\

And that gets me to a black, frozen screen.  I've tried doing this with and without the \'s at the end of the lines, as well.  It's going to be something stupid, I'm sure, but I've already spent the last 45 mins or so trying to get it and I'm kinda fed up at this point.

if you ever get around to it, there's also USF, which plays N64 music.

source is located at the bottom.

Alright.  Fixed my problem.  I just need to really proofread my paths, i guess.  Bed time for me, obviously.

Nicccccccce..... Tis be cool one day if this type of file format playback was added to x-port emu's.  The c64 emu is the only one that has any type of playback (sid).
