I must be doing SOMETHING wrong. I deleted my entire original install of zsnexbox and copied everything (including all empty dirs) to my xbox but whenever I try to load zsnexbox from either XBMC or evox dashboard it will just lock up. I made sure to change all of the paths in the path.ini file to reflect my installed directory. Does anyone have any ideas what my problem could be?

You probably made a mistake editing the Path.ini. Can you post it?

It would help if I actually put "ZsnexBox" instead of "ZsnesBox"... Okay I fixed it!

Is there any way to stretch out the text display? Like in my ROM list some of the longer names are cut off and especially on the Hint and Tips section I only see half of a line of text. I'm running at 720p with the font size at 24.

GUI Tex Options:
Rombrowser width and Adjust clipping rectangle (for the cheat databases and help)

Did you get it working?

Yes, thanks.

The problem, as was mentioned by Pheidias, was i just copied over my existing 'cheat' folder.  It needed to be renamed to 'cheats', or else upon loading a rom it would lock up the emu.

Great job again, i'm loving the rumble.

Thanks. Actually when I moved everything over I had both a "cheat" folder and a "cheats" folder. I decided to rename the the cheats folder to "databases" and add an s to the other cheat folder. Forgot to mention that.

nice update, just one thing i noticed.. i deleted the 2.92 (made a backup off it just in case)ini, moved everything to my zsnes emu folder ( my sram.rumb foldrs etc) n it boots the skins in upsidedown n buggy .. anyways.. i set the ini top point to E where my files were at.. n changed the ini to point o the right folders.. n get the same thing... so what i did . .was opened my zsnxbox2.92 ini back up n added this as the first line:

DisableKeyCombo=13

n renamed it, zsnexbox.ini, this fixed it for me ..

also r these rmb files included the same ones as b4? - updated+rumble+files -

You can't use the ini from before because the format changed. It will throw off all the ini loading code because the "DiableKeyCombo" will be missing. The way you fixed it, is the only way to use the old ini. You have to run ZsnexBox with nothing in the ini folder and it will create a new one. That's why you had that problem.

I think they are the same rumbles from before with some extra F-Zero codes.

Well, your favorites.ini should still work. In fact, I kept mine and it works fine. But I didn't move my folders around where the games are.

Is it to late to ask for the custom soundtrack support ?
Why? Play the right SNES game and you have all the music you need. biggrin.gif

For example, take the translated version of Seiken Densetsu 3, press L+R at the same time, go to the menu of ZSNEXBOX, release L+R and reset the emulator...

Whoa,
What kind of feature is that?
What happens when I do the above mentioned command instructions?

Cheers,
C.

Mine locks up also when started.

You probablly made a mistake editing the Path.ini, the folders in the Path.ini don't exist, there are spaces at the end of one or more lines in the Path.ini, or you typed "cheat" instead of "cheats" for the cheat path.

QUOTE

can i enter the full path to my directories?

Yes. The paths must exist. If you type E:\SNES\Screenshots\ on the first line of the Path.ini, then those folders must exist on your Xbox.

QUOTE

i have all my packshots in the artworks folder now.
Do i have to make subdirectories like Shots1, Shots2 etc.?

No. You could put all your screenshots in some folder like E:\SNES\screenhots\, and
then have this for the first 8 lines of the Path.ini

E:\SNES\screenhots\
E:\SNES\screenhots\
E:\SNES\screenhots\
E:\SNES\screenhots\
E:\SNES\screenhots\
E:\SNES\screenhots\
E:\SNES\screenhots\
E:\SNES\screenhots\

Using 8 separate "unique" screenshot paths is an option not a requirement.

QUOTE

Are the paths case sensitive?

No.

Perhaps the next update you could have the emulator better handle missing folders, and/or create them on the fly if they're specified in the .ini file but don't physically exist.

Not trying to be a dick here, but that's not very good behaviour for a program to lock up because of a missing directory, and I can see this as being a support headache until it's properly fixed.
