ZsnexBox 2.97

What's New:

-All the paths can be changed in the ini. The default save location is in the directory where the default.xbe is. However, this can be changed via the Path.ini. The folders must exist, because I no longer create the base directories. All 8 screenshot paths, rumble, cheats, sram, save, roms, ini, and garbage paths can be changed. For example, you could set the Shots 1 path to point to the xSnes9x previews folder and the Shots 2 – 8 paths to completely separate locations.

-The "Disable Key Combo Option" is now saved to the ini.

-Added support for loading cheat files when a game is launched through the command line.

-Added support for loading rumble files when a game is launched through the command line.

-Optimized the savestate loading/creation code

-I have included a few of my rumble files, so if you don't like force feedback, you can delete these or just turn them off within the options of each game.

Install:
This is a full install. Copy the contents of the archive to your Xbox. Run the default.xbe to start.

Upgrade:
You will need to either move all your files to the appropriate directories relative to the default.xbe or edit the Path.ini. For example, if you want to keep your files where they are, you could change the Path.ini to this:

E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 1\
E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 2\
E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 3\
E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 4\
E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 5\
E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 6\
E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 7\
E:\ZsnexBox\artwork\Shots 8\
E:\ZsnexBox\sram\
E:\ZsnexBox\save\
E:\ZsnexBox\ini\
E:\ZsnexBox\rumble\
E:\ZsnexBox\cheats\
E:\ZsnexBox\garbage\
D:\ZsnexBox\roms\

This assumes you have previously been saving to the E partition. Do not put any spaces at the end of any lines. Make sure the "\" is the last character on every line. You will not be able to use your previous ini files (for the emulator or for the skins), since the ini format has changed.

I was about to ask a complicated question about the path.ini but I just realized this was a full install not an upgrade.

I got everything working fine with setting up the .ini for where all the saves paths and such, but when i try to boot a rom the emu just locks up.  I've went through and made sure everthing is in place, but have no idea what the problem is.  I wonder if it is because of the larger screenshot previews that i use (512 x whatever).  I never had a problem with this in v2.9., though.  Hmmm..........

EDIT:

Nope, it's not the previews that is making the emu lock up.

Ain't that the feature I requested sometime ago? If so thank you man, as far as I'm concerned you can relax, sit by the beach and enjoy a nice chocolate cigar (the tobacco one's do you bad) 'cause I have nothing else to request. Have fun!

Foe-Hammer and I have the same problem. locks up when launching a game. Foe-Hammer wich paths did you change I changed roms save and sram.

Did some checking seems the emu needs folders to be created beforehand so if you don't have a folder the emu needs it won't work.

Ok re added some empy folders that disappeared when I ftp(is on the skiplist) and I also foud that I had a folder named cheat not cheats, since a earlier build(did a clean install and then replaced things). And everything works now, it eiter wah the cheat folder or the missing artwork shots 2-8 fodlers that made it hang.

Thanks for a awesome Emulator Nes6502

Ah.  So very rad.  I'm pretty much just waiting for multi core support, but in the mean time, other fantastic updates just keep being added.  Thanks so much.

Thanks for another great release.  This is nice as I always prefer a full release to an upgrade.

I must be doing SOMETHING wrong. I deleted my entire original install of zsnexbox and copied everything (including all empty dirs) to my xbox but whenever I try to load zsnexbox from either XBMC or evox dashboard it will just lock up. I made sure to change all of the paths in the path.ini file to reflect my installed directory. Does anyone have any ideas what my problem could be?
