Flashx Killed My Tsop !

Hey guys! I usually  use the flasher in evoX to flash my tsop, but last night decided to try FlashX. Boy I wish I hadn't :( During the "erasing bios" stage, the bar got nearly to the end, then just stopped. I waited about 10 minutes and my heart sank, I knew this wasn't good. I reset the box and you guessed it, FRAG time!

I've got a v1.1 xbox and now i see on the forums someone says FlashX has got a bug for v1.1 boxes :( I guess this is why it didn't work, damn.

I'm gonna try booting off  each quarter of the tsop but don't hold out much hope. Anyone had this problem before?

The TSOP is a different kind of flash ROM than the X2s...what did you expect?  Anyway, if you don't already have a mod, then get one.  Install it, reflash the TSOP with the MS BIOS, and just use the mod instead of the TSOP.  It's safer.

I know i was a dumb-ass, but I was in a hurry and had the flashX disk handy (was using xbmp as dash) and didn't think twice. Think i must of had too many beers last night  :lol:

I bought another xbox (LE) today and gonna transfer the innards over and sell the greeny with the fixed motherboard.

Remember kids: Think twice, Flash once ;)

wait sorry.. i think they need data on them to work.. correct me if im mistaken

You can build a homebrew chip or get one from the web.  Pcmerc.com sells them.  They are 29or31 wire homebrews and you can use them to reflash motherboards.  Its what I use to recover them.  (btw, pcmerc is not my site)
