I have problems playing mario kart
Gameplay is slower than the original (when playing on snes)
Can i fix this problem? Or will i need to switch to a different emulator (Zsnexbox)?

Try different settings.

Maybe when you downloaded the rom, it got corrupted.

Try using a different emulator.

I reccomend ZnesXBox.

What version of XSNES9X are you using.

Well, it might just be the emulator, Like I said I prefer ZnesXbox

Maybe you are playing the european rom or you are using the emulator at 50 hz. Get the Usa version and use 60hz.

might be a filter too. set it to simple2x

Thanks for the replies but no such luck
GLiTcH, chaning the filter had no effect on the game
Kanyero, i believe i am using the usa version. By 50Hz and 60Hz, i believe you mean PAL and NTSC. When playing the game changing the setting to 'force NTSC' had no effect, but changing to 'force PAL' did speed up the soundtrack (sync issues), not the gameplay
Any other suggestions, or must i switch to Znexbox

Why shouldn't you at least TRY Zsnexbox.. read the topics; everybody is absolutely ecstatic about it. Xsnes9x is good, but Zsnexbox is just lots better; it's faster, has got more options, better support.. hell, it even has a rumble-feature (IMG:style_emoticons/default/blink.gif)

Don't hesitate: give it a try!

There are not many good skins for Zsnexbox

I'm not promoting ZsnexBox here, but I am promoting Neverwill's skins.

Are you serious? It comes with 3 (Gui Options->Skins and notice the 3 choices) of the most proffesional skins I've ever seen (based on Mario, Zelda, and Metroid).

Quality is much better than quantity.

Appreciate all the hard work put into these skins, i tried to make my own skin and found it very difficult, but i am not a big fan
Besides that, Zsnexbox is a good emulator
