is there a reason why my s controler won't work with zsnes? Loading it up for the first  time and its not accepting any of my button inputs.

Same thing with ScummVM. Sorry if this is something stupid that I've overlooked on the search but I'm practically pulling my hair out.

Is it plugged into port 1?
Is there a DVD dongle plugged in? That might be the problem.
Does it work for any other emulators/Xbox games?

All I use use is the S controller. And it works perfect. In fact, I've tried numerous third party controllers and they all work fine too (in all 4  ports)

Problem is my first and fourth controller port died about 2 years ago  (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Anyway can I get by using the 2nd port?

How are you launching the emulator? From what dashboard? Try launching the emulator from UnleashX directly through the file browser.

Are you sure you have all the files? Open up the Metroid.ini on your Xbox and make sure it's complete. Sometimes when I burn CD's the text files get cut off.

I am attempting to launch the emulator from the hard drive using evox dashboard. I looked at the metroid.ini and all files are there.

Launching things through evox can be flaky. Make sure IGR is turned off. Better yet, upgrade to UnleashX. It's about a million times better and has truck loads more features. You'll have no problem launching ZsnexBox (or just about anything else) from there.

Nope. You are out of luck. The menu is controlled exclusivly through port 1.

You "could" technically setup each game to launch through the command line individually through the UnleashX dashboard. Then turn on "map P1 + P2 to P3 + P4" in the ZsnexBox29.ini (as  well as enable Players 3 + 4 in the ini) before launching it and then play the SNES games with a controller plugged into port 3. However,  there would be no way for you to exit the emulation, change games, save the game, change video settings, sound settings, etc...

I am not near my xbox right now so I cant check, but I was wondering if the "turbo" feature can be turned off?
On the XSNESX emulator you couldnt shut it off and there was no button that it could be mapped too that wasnt already a SNES pad button, leaving only the black and white buttons which would always get accidently pressed.

I would love an emulator that would disable the turbo feature.

The turbo settings can be mapped to all of the SNES buttons.

If you map SNES A to the Xbox start button, then everytime you press the Xbox start button it will emulate the SNES A button with turbo.

Turbo can be turned on and off individually for each button. So you can have SNES A and B with turbo on and all the other buttons with turbo off.

You can also set the number of times the turbo is fired per second. Either 30 or 60 times per second.

i would like to have the option to change the screen size to some roms.. maybe have a universal setting since most snes games run in full screen n some dont like super metroid - street fighter - yoshis Island.
Maybe make an ini for each game with the screen settings .. i would love to set yoshis island to full screen since im running on a widescreen i get black bars just like dvd movies
