Help Me Name This Game

I think the game was for mame but anyways its where you are in a mech and its 3rd person horizontal view shooter but some of the weapons are ranged, and you have the ability to pick up other destroyed mech's weapons and attack them on to your mech. It was kind of in the style of simpsons (IMG:http://img172.imageshack.us/img172/1023/simpsonsbq1.png)

Please someone help me here. It was 4 player and it might have been japan im not exactly sure.
