Well i dunno if the way ive been formatting it will be acceptable, altho i think ive made it convenient to parse data.

And ya, this is pretty time consuming, especially because i try to fix the game's name so they somewhat match goodsnes/nsrt romnames, and all the formatting.

ANYWAYS so here's letter A done, nes6502 if you read this check it out and say if the way it's formatted is convenient.

http://www.rogepost....ForZsnexbox.txt

If it is, id like to ask if some people are willing to pick a letter on http://www.gamefaqs.com/console/snes/ and follow the same principles ive put up. If not it'll get done, but will take me a bit.

That will work. Thanks.

You posted a list of cores you were going to port a long while back, do you still have that list or do you need to compile a new one?

A new one would be helpfull. Maybe there would be some better ones.

I think they were:

the current 2-28-05
3-29-06 from ZsnexBox 1.0-1.2
maybe the newest code done after the 5-27-06 WIP.
2-19-06? (Fixes Lemmings)

Are there any others?

Obviously I want as fewer cores as possible. If anyone, could double check these against known issues (i.e. you've been following all the ZsnexBox threads and are aware of all the common bug reports. Like Final Fight sound, Micky Mania, Mortal Kombat sound, etc...), that would be great.

Ok gang I have the Game Genie codes list finished.
I put it up on a free file host. Let me know if there are any problem with it....

It looks great virii.  The only thing I noticed was that at the end, the last few games aren't separated with *s, so nes6502 please make note of that.  Virii, how did you do all of that, was it really time consuming?  I wish a programmer was still developing an NES or Genesis emulator so you could do the same thing for them.

Virii and nes6502,

No fault on Virii's fault since he got this file from another source, but there are a few typos that I found.  If you could corrent them nes6502 it would making the final product more professional.  I didn't know how to say where they were so just run a search for these words.  There are multiple instances on some of them so continue to search the whole document after finding the mistake.  The word in parentheses is the correction.

Well, this is the information I am aware of:

1.42
Most bug-free overall but lacks the sound, game support, etc... improvements made in later releases

2-28-05
Starfox runs at the correct speed, but I'm not sure it is running as smoothly (Moving the ship around) as it it did on a real SNES. Can anyone verify this by comparing to the actual game running a real SNES? There may be an earlier version that works even better if this is the case.
Last version to support the BS-Zelda hacks

2-19-06
Lemmings fixed (?)

3-29-06
Fixes for Final Fantasy 3 and many general sound improvements (especially for square games) Not sure what version these fixes were introduced but they are present in this version
Top Gear 3000 plays fullspeed on the Xbox.
Mortal Kombat 1 has the sound fixed (I think)
Final Fight has the correct punching sound
Final Fight Guy has the correct punching sound

I would also like to find a version that has the transparent numbers working correctly in Super Punchout. These appear when an opponent is knocked down.

These are the builds that I am considering for multi-core. If there are others that solve problems these don't solve, then please post it.

Someone should look into the part I bolded. As of now there is no core to fix the part I italicized. I think a 1.42 core would be a good insurance for glitches that were oversighted.

XaRaNn, here are the H games.  You may want to change some things to get it to fit with the way you are naming things and how nes6502 eventually would need it but this should cut down on some of the work you need to do.  If a few could pitch in a little it could be done in no time.

this is a great program...

only feature i could think of that hasn't been said so far is to make all data written in the Zsnes directory instead of in E:/ or F:/

and when you done with zsnes you should try messing around with Surreal ... in the newest version the 4 controller support is broken.. it'd be nice if someone could come along and squash some bugs

thanks NES

If I'm not mistaken the sound cuts out randomly on Dragon Quest I + II and Star Ocean, among others when using this build (or whatever build v1.0-v1.2 was based on, I forget)

Can you reproduce these issues in the 2-28 build?

I have not personally noticed any sound problems in star ocean with recent zsnexbox releases. (about 3-4 hours of gameplay)

BTW: thanks nes for doing S, i'm now up to letter E, Coolgamer30 sorry i missed your post, if you or anyone else want to help please do so, just please state wich one you are working on so we dont get duplicates.

and please follow the example letter "A" i posted, separating the data into different sections where it makes sence (ive been mostly following the way gamefaqs.com has it layed out), and if you notice any weird names not matching what comes out of nsrt/ goodsnes (mostly stuff like "The" wich they put after and gamefaqs sometimes puts first)

So far we got:
Me : A-E done, doing up to G then M-N-O-P-Q
RMM : H done, will do more?
nes6502 : doing S
Philo : has done U, told him where to host it, waiting for PM reply. will do more?

You shouldn't have any problems, Star Ocean has worked fine in any version past v1.2.  I was just forgetting which build Zsnexbox was based on initially that had the problems.
