How about scrolling titles in the game list.
Games like Sipder-Man - Maximum Carnage have titles too long for your standard window. It would be nice to read the whole thing using some type of scrolling.

There was way to many posts in here so i wasn't able to read all of them to make sure that this hasn't been posted before. So sorry if it's a repost of an old idea

Thanks nes for all your great work on making the best snes emu ever imo

This is what nes6502 posted in his opening post:

Things I am not going to do so there is no point requesting:
-SMB
-Relax shares
-7zip support
-rar support
-mp3 support
-network support
-scrolling text in the rombrowser (there's no point as the full name is displayed at the bottom)

Sorry dude, but it ain't gonna happen smile.gif

Well how about this in the cheat menu options when nameing a cheat lets say you create one that is for Infinate lives. if you change the label of the cheat you type in "Infinate Lives" and after that the letters "scription Here" are still there. So this my suggestion. make it so you can hit say 'Y' button and it will set the current character to a blank space. this way you don't have to spend all that time clearing out the extra room from "Enter Code Description Here" line.

Good suggestion.

make rewind more smooth like xport emus.

idk if it's just me but whenever i rewind it literally jumps back 15-20 secs by LIGHTLY tapping the button once.

Rewind can be adjusted in the General options menu

I don't think you can control how long the rewind is.
I don't think it's either time or pressure sensitive.
Neither does it need to be.
It's a benefit that needs to be appreciated like it is, no matter how Xport's version differs.

Also, I'm seeing a LOT of these posts with unappreciative people just pointing out what's not GOOD ENOUGH in their opinion...
about this TOP-quality GIFT...
Instead of giving appreciative SUGGESTIONS.
And I have to say that's shitty after this selfless and impressive work we're purely benefitting from.
You would think these people have no concept of excellence or gifts after some of those thankless comments.

I'm seeing people not even respecting the ability to request, which is another gracious gift...
And it's being taken for granted and replaced by commands.
That is just low, unappreciative and out of line.
It's like someone gives you a free Pagani Zonda and your response is: "Hey, give me better tires. These aren't those weather-grip ones."

Even if you are appreciative, failing to show it just doesn't cut it, people.
Say what impressed you when you're giving feedback on something that's excellent and free, for crying out loud. That is a GIVEN. Show some appreciation for your excellent and free gift, everyone.

This emu might not be "Good Enough", as the moaners say, but this is definitely the best emu on the Xbox. In my mind, it is so much better than XSNES9X. Tough, I do not want to poop on Lantus, because I think it's safe to say that it's partly thanks to him that we are where are, on the SNES emulation for the Xbox.

So not only are you rude and thankless, but you can't read.
The rewind may not be pressure sensitive like an xport emulator.
Complaining about this like it's "not good enough" is overstepping your ego, though.
This emulator is not designed to mimic xport's, nor should it be.
Show some appreciation, man.

dude you are an asshole. i was asking a fucking question on how i can get it to react similarly, as they both use the same method of savestate technology. i think xport knows how appreciative i have been throughout the past in the many appreciative comments i have posted, so who are you to judge? nobody said anything about it's "not good enough", and nobody is complaining about anything on this thread except for YOU. so fuck off cuz you just made yourself look like a jackass

It makes a rewind state every so often. You can control how many of these states there are and how close they are together, so you can adjust it to your preference.

For example:

If you wanted 10 possible rewind points to move back to you would set the Number of rewind states to 10.

If you found that the states were too far apart (i.e. after hitting the rewind once and jumping back to the first state it went too far) you can decrease the half seconds between states.

No, you actually made the command of "make rewind more smooth like xport emus. " A complaint how it wasn't good enough for you, with nothing else in the entire comment. It doesn't matter what you've said in the past, appreciation doesn't "carry over". Appreciation doesn't work that way. You're either currently showing it or not and you weren't there. You can't say something thankful one minute and have it count LATER comments as thankful. And yes, you were complaining, nitpicking and nothing but, that this wasn't working exactly how you wanted it to and how could it be better... And yes that is low, and no, i'm not the jackass. Nice tantrum though. I really respect nes for absorbing that in a friendly manner and still being helpful.

No, you actually made the unappreciative command of "make rewind more smooth like xport emus. " A complaint how it wasn't good enough for you, with nothing else in the entire comment. It doesn't matter what you've said in the past, appreciation from the past doesn't "carry over" and cover your current attitude. You constantly include it in your comments or you are not using it, and you dropped it there. You can't say something thankful one minute and have it count LATER comments as thankful. Appreciation doesn't work that way. And yes, you were complaining, nitpicking and nothing but, that this wasn't working exactly how you wanted it to and how could it be better... And yes that is low, and no, i'm not the jackass. Nice tantrum though. I really respect nes for patiently dealing with that crap in a friendly manner.

lol laugh.gif get over it. as true as your comments are on people who are "unappreciative", they in no way reflect my attitude towards the author, his work, and the discussion itself. you have all these great ideas of how appreciation works, yet, every person on the planet is different and can be thankful in different ways. i am actually very greatful of the project, but i dont have to kiss ass everytime i post and say "dude you fucking rock you are god and i love you" and all that other shit. do i have to keep telling NES how fuckin sweet his emu is? no... i'm sure he knows. the point is, i was simply making a quick statement/request. afterall, this is the "Zsnexbox Feature Request Thread". so please stay on topic because you are flooding this message board full of your incessant rambling and nobody wants to hear it.

if i'm wrong, ban me ... seriously

Gratefulness is something you show,
not something you feel.

That's what I'm getting at.
You don't have to kiss someone's ass to be grateful. But at least remove any trace of a command from your statements, and add a tone of respect for the project in any response. At the very least be sure you're making a request, and not a command statement or a critique.
