Game Genie Or Ram Codes For Sega Cd?
« on: July 15, 2006, 04:18:00 PM »

I've been searching for hours and can't find any codes for sega cd games. I know there was no game genie released for sega cd, but can't you enter codes via neogenesis?

I found some site with the same question and someone replied that they used codes and worked, but that was like a 2004 thread and there were no replies after. And the search feature here isn't working for me, (I tried) So I don't know if it's beenasked here before. I tried zophar and google, maybe I'm not putting in the right keywords?

Anyway, I can't figure out the cheat search funtion on neogen for the life of me. I search for codes and it comes up with over 65000, so I try a less value and it comes up with 100+, when I try to add them to my list it say I can't add more than 10, I tried searching exact value of 10 and it comes up with 0.

So is there a site somewhere dedicated to sega cd code hacking or what not? Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

I'm no expert on the cheat function by any means, but I was able to figure it out enough to create some cheat codes in order to add rumble support to NES games.  An example of how to make infinite health would be something like this:  Make a save state, start cheat search, lose health, search for results less than, load save state, search for results equal to before, lose health, and keep repeating until you get it under 10 results.  Once you get it under 10 results, choose the option to save them.  Then one by one try enabling each one until you have infinite life.  Follow the same type of searching for infinite lives, time, continues, etc.  At XER, we have a cheat/save file section in the hope that people would upload some of their configs (as many people talk about having them) but not many seem to want to upload them (wish they would though).
