Nice to see an emu still being worked on round here. Much thanks to ya.

Does it have command line launching?

Woot. Just woke up and saw that 2.0 was released. Gonna grab this now. Finally a snes emulator, the only one I've been using since it's release, has a cheat search  biggrin.gif

dydy67 is super ungrateful. He doesn't get it, that you had to use an old core in order to get 99% of the roms working.

yes its a really nice work and emulator also at this time but always bug in many games not corrected ( mickey mania_starwars return jedi etc.....)I hope corrected 1 day because not on the pc version and xsnes9x  smile.gif
Keep the good work nes6502

Unless the release notes say "-Added multi core support" those issues will not be fixed. They will be fixed eventually

I wonder if you saw my reply in the .19 thread about key combos for gui features (save states, etc)

Yes I did see it. Eventually I'm going to add a bunch of preset key combos that can be chosen. However, I doubt i will ever add a robust key combo system like the ones in Xport's emus.

how do you start up the music in the gui? i'm not sure at what version it stopped playing, but it's not going now. i threw in my own wma ("zeal" from chrono trigger) a while back and it worked fine, 128 kbps like the song you had. since it stopped working, i put yours back in under the same name, of course, but i still don't hear anything. some kind of option i'm not seeing? seems more and more likely the longer i'm away from here.

also, i can't tell yet since i can't hear music in the gui, but is there a way to have more than one song selectable? like, bg_1.WMA, bg_2.WMA, etc? i have all kinds of snes songs i like to play from FFVI to F-Zero. just wondering.

You may have the volume turned off. Try holding up on the right analog stick for a while to see if the music starts playing. But if you deleted the ZsnexBox.ini it should play regardless because it will be using the default volume. If you didn't, then your analog deadzone might be too low and the vollume might have lowered itself without you realizing it.

There is no support for changing tracks, but I will probablly add this to a later release.

You do not have to ask the same question multiple times. I do read this thread. I saw the question in the thread and in the two PMs you sent me.

It means the xbe was built in a way to make it run faster.

A little request/suggestion, nes6502, I don't know if it is possible to put hardware linear filtering like on xsnes9x, I like that filtering the most because it just blur the picture very little, make it look less pixeled, the bilinear filtering blur the picture a little to much (for my tastes) and the software filtering change the picture from the original graphics.

Thanks a lot for another release  biggrin.gif

Just use the antistropic filter with advmame smile.gif

I think it's called antistropic. It's almost as clear as point, without the noticeable flickering.

Antistropic combined with advmame should be the default filters imho  biggrin.gif

Edit:
Hardware Filter = Anisotropic
Software Filter = AdvMAME2x

Btw, if anything, linear sucks. If you want clarity, then go for bicubic or lanczos

Just gave a shot at cheat searching, and it works very good.
It's really awesome to launch whatever game you feel like playing, and if you're stuck/bored and feel like cheating, you can find a working one in a minute.
Also cool to mess around with and find weird stuff.
All in all a very cool feature, and a first for xbox snes emus.

Diontae18 : It's nice to have a choice of different filters, but anisotropic is theoritically (and practically when i tryed it) useless with 2 dimensional images. Maybe with mario kart/star fox/ doom, but then again it might not be much, there pseudo-3d afaik.
Anisotropic is meant to enhance the clarity on an image with a surface that goes far away and at an angle. (same with trilinear)
see http://en.wikipedia....ropic_filtering

i've always found bilinear is a good tradeoff, why do you say it sucks exactly?

pepe2004 : There is already linear hardware filtering available in zsnexbox, it is just called "interpolation"

Well because im used to the bicubic filter as opposed to bilinear  biggrin.gif
QUOTE(wikipedia)
The bicubic algorithm is frequently used for scaling images and video for display. It preserves fine detail better than the predominant bilinear algorithm.

This is the first time I have ever really used cheat searching and I must admit is is cool.

For example, I found a wierd code on super punchout where if you turn it on when an oppenent is knocked down and then turn it off when they get up. The counter will start counting again until 10 and it will say knockout even though they are standing in front of you.

Makes for a ridiculous knockout

here's a cheat search code I just found for Rudra. Took me about a min to find.
No Random Battles: 00092300

If you'd like to convert it to a par code, just replace the first two characters 00 with 7E. Btw, sometimes that might not work, the method of replacing the first 2 characters with 7E, if this happens to u, try 7F instead.

Here is some information about what happens depending on what the first two digits are in relation to PAR codes. This may be usefull to anyone wanting to change the AR codes.

If the game is LoROM:

//$70-$77
if((bank >= 0x70 &&  bank <= 0x77)) { //The code affects SRAM

   srama[((bank-0x70) * 256 * 1024) + address] = data;

}

//7E
if((bank == 0x7E) && (address <= 0x1FFF)) { //The code affects RAM

   wramdataa[address] = data;

}

//7F
if(bank == 0x7F) { //The code affects  Extended RAM

   ram7fa[address] = data;

}

If the game is HiROM:

//$70-$77
if((bank >= 0x70 &&  bank <= 0x77)) {//The code affects SRAM

   srama[((bank-0x70) * 256 * 1024) + address] = data;
}

//7E
if((bank == 0x7E)) {
   if (address <= 0x1FFF) { //The code affects RAM

      wramdataa[address] = data;
   }
   if (address >= 0x2000 && address <= 0x7FFF) {//The code affects RAM

      wramdataa[address] = data;
   }
   if (address >= 0x8000) { //The code affects  Extended RAM

      ram7fa[address] = data;
   }
}

//7F
if(bank == 0x7F) {

   ram7fa[address] = data;

}

If the AR code = AABBBBCC

then

AA = bank
BBBB = address
CC = data
