Wow, thank you very much again for this great port.

Samba support would make it perfect...  wink.gif

Any plans for supporting mp3 for the bg music?

No. However, I'm sure there are free tools that can be used to convert an mp3 to a wma.

QUOTE
Any hope of SMB network share access? HD space is rather tight for me

No. I would reccomend burning the ROMs to a CD-R or DVD-R. SNES ROMs don't take up that much space and the entire US set can almost fit on one CD-R. It would be a lot of work to add this and I don't think many people would use it. I also don't see a lot of need for it since SNES ROMs are small. The average SNES game is 300K to 4MB where the average PSX game is 400MB -  2.4GB

Can you PLEASE add an option to specify where the cache files are saved?

This will be in the next release

QUOTE
And can you use these screenshots as previews (like how all of xports emu's do)?

I'm not sure I understand what you mean

QUOTE
Is there anyway to fix the flicker in starfox 2 other then another version?

There is no way to fix this. Thee is no version of Starfox 2 (with source available) that runs this game correctly.

QUOTE
ability to disable the menu scrolling noise

It's allready there. I think it is called Disable Menu Sound Effects.

QUOTE

changable menu music

I might add this later, but the BG_1.wma can be replaced with any wma file you want.

also as i saidin an older post but you didnt understand what i was trying to say is. how about allowing us to map frameskip (fast forwards) and rewind to the analog sticks rather than just a button. to me it seems easier to be able to still play the game in ff if i only have to hold an anaolg stick than trying to press an out if the way button.

If you mean clicking the analog sticks, then the feature is allready there. Or do you mean like pressing up/down/left/right to fast forward, rewind, etc? Can you give me an example of how you would use fast forward with the analog sticks on a game?

any plans on implementing searching for cheat codes.

Yes. It's fairly high on my todo list

Maybe they mean like, hold the thumb right and it fast forwards and the speed it fast forwards at is deteremined by how far out it's held?

If that is the case, it wouldn't work with the 2-28-05 core since there is no way to vary the fast forward speed. That wasn't added until later.

I soppose this might be part of the problem, but I just erased the entire 1.7 directory and FTPed the 1.9 directory new.  So if the INI was there, it's gone.  Would it be somewhere else?

yes i mean up down left right to be configured to the controls for it. its really handy having them setup like that

and mostly id use them in rpgs as its kinda boring wading through long pointless speaches in them and its easier to hit the other buttons from the right thumbstick than the black white buttons without pressing the wrong buttons

also im not worried about using analog to controll the speed at wich it runs just allow frameskip and other emu functions to be mapped to it easier

You are running out of 1.x version numbers  laugh.gif

.... Will 2.0 be the first multicore release with vibration?

 biggrin.gif

I highly doubt it since that would mean they would have to be in the next release. It will probablly be more like 3.0 before those show up.

Of course it's possible, but that would mean there wouldn't be another release for a long time since multi-core will be one of the last things I do.

Well i prefer having a few minor releases untill those features are added instead of waiting a long time without any release.

Btw i´ve discovered that those graphic glitches in megaman x 3 are not present in zsnexbox 1.2 and they are present in the lastest releases of the emu, even with old gfx engine enabled, so it's definitely a problem with the core itself and not the gfx engine  sad.gif

Streaming roms is completely ridiculous in my humble opinion because half of what makes a modded XBox so cool is having everything under one roof. If I wanted to bring my XBox to a friend's house, all the roms come with me.

One of the reasons I am so reluctant to have ROM streaming is this:

If all my roms are on the PC, then why would I bother using an xbox emulator? Afer all, the emulation is usually better, I have a CPU almost 5 times as fast as the Xbox, and there are more emulators available.

One might say it's cooler to play them on a TV than a computer monitor. I agree, but if anyone  is running a network cable across their house from the PC to the Xbox, they can just as easily run an s-video cable from their video card, and use a wireless controller.

I do see the benefit of not maintaining two rom collections, but after I got everthing working on the Xbox, I stopped using the PC emulators all together. And I don't maintain a romset in both places. Just on the Xbox.

Again, these are my opinions and I respect other people's views, but in the end it would be a lot of work (I would also have to buy a 100ft crossover cable) and I don't think many people would use it.

ZsnexBox development is not cheap. It does cost me money allready. I don't have a debug Xbox which means I have to burn a Cd-R to test every change. I have easilly burned 400+ CD-Rs since I started development.
