If you don't post the bugs, then I can't do anything about them. The only bugs I'm aware of is the occasional game not starting and emulator lockup.

For games that work on both emulators, Zsnexbox wins this comparison practically every time.  It's combination of speed, graphic filters and sound enhancements can't be matched by xsnes9x.  

xsnes9x does play a few games that Zsnexbox does not, but xsnes9x has it's compatibility issues as well.  Like Zsnexbox, some games won't run.  While many others seem to play perfectly fine, upon closer inspection, some suffer from inaccurate sound emulation.

The biggest edge belonging to Zsnexbox is that nes6502 -- one of the most helpful programmers in the emu scene -- continues to develop it.  Most of the issues that some of you are having with his emulator will be addressed in the near future, while the issues that have plagued xsnes9x for quite some time now will continue to linger.

If someone tells me Zsnesxbox has a built-in text file viewer -- I'm switching right over!!

I don't like snes9x's GUI on the xbox... xport projects are MUCH better

What purpose would a text file viewer have for a SNES emu?  I don't have any text files in my romsets...

Does Zsnesxbox support zip or 7zip?  I try to find a complete nfo but they all link to forum posts that detail what the latest version does, not what it does in total.

One saves codes and faqs and walkthroughs from gamefaqs.com and dumps them in a dir on his/her xbox.

I havn't done any extensive testing running ZsnexBox from a disk. In fact, I have never tested running it off a Cd or DVd. Just a Cd-RW and it seemed to work fine. However, I am not doing anything special. I treat the DVD drive just like the hard drive, so it should work just as well. Have you tried different media or a different tool to make the xiso? That's the only two things I can think of.

All my testing has been on a 1.6 softmodded Xbox. Also, do the sequences that cause a freeze happen when running from the hard  drive? Can you reproduce the freezes?  If you can narrow it down to exact steps to reproduce, I may be able to figure out what is happeneing.

Some of the Street fighters play better on Zsnexbox also FF4 sounds better.  I play metroid on xsnes9x, so I use both emulators, there great.

i have only tested zsnesxbox on my memorex cdrw, yeah i know memorex is a piece of junk but it works w/ all my other emus, xsnesx, neogenesis, perfectly i never had a prob. i never tested off of a dvdr cuz i dont wanna waste it. i use qwix to make all my isos and never, ever, ever had a problem with any isos i made for my xbox. running evox on a brand new xbox i bought a few months ago.

what actually happens is the first game plays fine, then when i exit it, i chose the next game, and it might not even work, or it might. then the next game i try either freezes the xbox till i have open up the tray or it gives me a blank screen after every other game i test. so its wierd cuz i could think the games dont work but its actually the sequence. 1st game works>second game might work>3rd game black screen>everyother game after that black screen>or replace the last 2 steps with xbox freezes

thats basically what is happening. i think the huge ass music file MIGHT slow it down and crash the app but i could be wrong...

I wouldn't call it a "waste" especially considering you can buy a quality DVD-R for as little as $0.30

These are known issues. It does this running from the hard drive as well. Certain game sequences cause this behaviour. Others do not.

Hi, I'd like to comment about Kirby Dreamland 3 not working with zsnexbox. Someone mentioned in one of these threads that it did'nt work, so last night when I had the chance, I played illisuion of gaia for a while, quitted, and chosed Kirby Dreamland 3, and guess what? It did'nt work, well that was until I chosed to quit and chosed  it again.
