To reply to my own question, savestates can not be brought over but sram files can. Would be cool if anyone finds out how to convert the savestates, since many games only use password

I second that question about Zbattle.net (or something of the like) I have been DESPERATE to play online with my xbox.  Efforts to that cause would pretty much make me worship you!

Is anyone using a controller that doesn't work in the menu or the in game emulation?

anyone getting an unable to load savestate meesage? I was playing zelda and donkey kong country lastnight and when i went to bring up my savestate this morning i got this message. They loaded fine before I turned off my xbox. also my .srm files seem to have reverted back to my first save. any ideas?

Have you checked that the savestate is in the save folder and it matches the rom name exactly?

For srm: You have to exit the game for the sram file to be saved. If you IGR or turn off the Xbox it might not save.

I'm experiencing the same controller issue here.  I love the added features in this version, hopefully the sound dropout issue will be fixed soon too.  For testing purposes, I've noticed this happens consistently in Dragon Quest I + II while you're talking to the king at the beginning of DQ1.  I've also noticed junk left behind on the screen occasionally when switching ROMs (such as some text from the header of the previous ROM you were playing, for example) A way to exit back to the dash without IGR would be nice too, but I'm sure that will be added once we get an options menu.  Other than these minor quibbles, very impressed so far. wink.gif

yeah, i didnt mess with the files since they were created, proper everything, mario kart also gave me this message, but yoshi's island savestate loaded fine, and looks much better. good stuff

You havn't updated your roms and you're sure you are loading the correct rom with the savestate and not an alternate (like 1.0, 1.1 (U), (E), etc)?

Worked out that only Controller port 1 works after scratching my head for ages!!!!
I can select and launch a rom now however my control pad doesn't seem to work in the game.
Is this coz my wireless logitech pad is unsupported?

Thanks.

There is a problem with savestates. The savestates are being saved but named incorrectly if there is a period in the filename (like Final Fantasy (1.0)(!).zip). If a savestate doesn't load that should exist, then check the name and rename until the next release.

I had a problem where I didn't have any games in my rom dir, and I hit A and the thing froze.  No IGR either.  It would be nice to be able to browse to a rom folder located elsewhere.

But the point of this is that I am using the standard (fattie) xbox controller and I get no response once a game is loaded and the IGR does not respond.

And I hate to be a whineyhead, but an option to turn the music off or back on for the menu would be nice.  Sometimes my volume is set really high for low volume stuff and it freaks the hell out of me (and my neighbors!   blink.gif )

Why after upgrade from 1.0 to 1.1 game list turns invisible?, also is correct that emu is still labeled 1.0?

I think I figured out why people have controllers work on the menu and not in the emulation. This will be fixed hopefully in the next release. X-Arcade support is a different beast altogether.

It says 1.0 because I didn't change the graphic. An oversight on my part.

Also, the rom broswer screen doesn't have a border on the right and bottom. If anyone thinks it does, then the screen would appear to be off center down and to the right when in fact it may be perfectly centered.

I will add a volume control to the menu for the background music.

Right now I am focussing on critical fixes. Afther that I will design a more robust gui.

also having load/save state using 'left thumb + left /right triggers' is not a good place, too easy to accidentally click down while jumping (triggers) on mario kart during a frantic race, or street fighter 2, then you'll loose your game

at least right thumb stick would be better, or something else

apart from that, very happy with the emulator, i prefer the interface and feel much more than lantus snes9x, i really dont like this emu, was praying for a better emu than that for ages

I think I finally discovered what the non-working controller issue was caused by. It has nothing to do
with unofficial controllers. You can't have any device attached to the Xbox controller ports 3 & 4 (I had the remote receiver on port 4 and an additional controller in port 3). Removed both them all and everything
is fine now. Hope this helps.
