???
What the hell are you talking about?

AFAIK he hasn't posted any screenshots at all. At least not on this or the other Xbox-Scene thread.

Someone else did post some menu-only screenshots over a year ago wich nothing came out of. This isn't the same person at all tho.

Either way from now on you're just a troll in my mind. I suggest everyone else does the same.

To my eyes Simple2x almost do adsolutely notting to the picture, the ones than he got are the best IMO. Also for me Linear filtering is awesome. Sorry for the english.

The filters currently implemented smooth and distort the display to something that doesn't even nearly resemble a SNES. Some people like that, but for those of us who want an experience as close as possible to the original system they're just horrible. Simple2x is an essential in any Xbox emulator as far as I'm concerned.

CandieCorpse I think you should quit. The way things are now you're going to sound pretty stupid if this thing does get released next week. Your skepticism was understandable in the earlier thread when nothing was known about this. But now I'd say enough information has mounted up here and elsewhere to suggest this is probably very real indeed. If you still have doubts I'd suggest keeping them to yourself. In the event that it does turn out to be fake, you'll still get to say "I told u so!" if that's your thing.

The screenshot where on lantus website/forum, however they are no longer online.

Lantus site has been offline since like october 2005, so please explain.

Edit : now i know what they are babbling aboot, they are talking about this thread on the old lantus forum
where someone posted a pic of Zsnes running in linux on the xbox.

I dont really know what that has to do with this project though.

In any case, I'm am truely impressed with the speed that nes has picked up one and has run through this project.  Not only that, he has the original developer helping him and beta testing, you can't ask for a better situation.  If you keep this up nes, you'll be on Xport's level in no time!

I loved Zsnes as it was the first, and for the most part only Snes emulator I ever used.  I never cared much for the gui interface though, but that might be remedied with this release.  Now as you're progressing very quickly and close to a working release, I have to ask if you have spoken with Xport about either him allowing you to use his gui setup, or for him to put his gui on your source (I'm assuming the first option).  I know that's a gray area, as you would understandably want just your name on it, and not being a "shadow" of Xport.  I just think like most people, that having a standard gui layout across all of the emulators would be a great thing, even Snes9x has a similar gui in it athough not 100% the same.  Obviously this is something to consider on down the road AFTER you have a good working version and have received the praise I'm sure you will no doubt deserve.  I for one will be one of the first to play your emulator, unlike CandyPants while he's screaming "OMG ITS A HOAX!!!".

Here's an example of what 'simple2x' does.  Let's say you're playing a side scroller like Mega Man and the background has a star lit sky, half-lit skyscrapers and a fence.  When you have the filter enabled, the blurring created by the linear or anisotropic filter is reduced significantly.  As a result of having a sharper image, the stars become brighter, the half-lit skyscrapers' windows become brighter, your character's eyes become more pronounced, text becomes easier to read, but the fence (and other contrasting background textures) will now shimmer in the background as a result of the sharpened image.  To rectify this, Xport added the option to use 'soften display' alongside 'simple2x' in order to cut down on the shimmering.  The result is arguably the best console-like image one can achieve from an Xbox emulator.
